Review The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Billy's swampland slog
In 2014 Nintendo suddenly realised that it could recreate the experience of a light gun game by using the pointer controls of the Wii Remote. Duck Hunt arrived on the Wii U eShop that Christmas and a few other NES Zapper games have followed since. Now we have Konami's The Adventures of Bayou Billy, although it should be noted...
About The Game
Brawl through the Louisiana Bayou all the way to New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street with former U.S. soldier Billy West, determined to save his homeland and his fiancée from local mobster Godfather Gordon and his crew.
The Adventures of Bayou Billy is a classic NES action game, notorious for combining beat 'em up sequences with driving and shooting stages. The shooting stages could even be played with the Zapper light gun, replaced with the Wii Remote in this Virtual Console release.

Meh. Just meh. The game is divided into beat-em-up parts, shooter parts with the Zapper and racing parts. I honestly don't know anything about the racing parts, the beat-em-up parts are not good (just makes you wish you were playing Double Dragon) and the shooter parts are too easy and make you wish you were playing Duck Hunt. Definitely not a must have.
Shouldn't this be a "Wii U Virtual Console Review" rather than a unspecified "Review". You usually specify which version you are reviewing like that, otherwise it seems like you are playing on original hardware because you wrote just "Review" when you did for retro reviews on original hardware before at least.
