A new spin on the popular fighting series
It's no secret that the Samurai Shodown series played a huge role in vaulting SNK up to the big boy fighting game table. And as popular as the original release was, it was the sequel that would set the standard by which all future titles of the franchise would be judged. Samurai Shodown III would mark the...

About The Game
The 12 samurai (and ninja) elite are back, this time to answer the threat of the demon Zankuro Minazuki.
The possessed swordsman has brutally slaughtered innocents in his path, yet could not raise his blade to the cries of an innocent baby. Vowing never to spill innocent blood again, he targets those who live by the way of the sword... but now the hunter becomes the hunted.
The third installment of Samurai Shodown introduces 2 different techniques for each character. The "Slash" techniques are the original moves of the most of the characters whereas the "Bust" techniques reflect the "darker" version of each character.

How come the NG is about to get its already second VC revival? Hope this time it lasts longer than the last time...
Although I am glad that Fatal Fury 3 and Samurai Shodown 3 has come to Europe VC, I do kinda hope we would see more games that aren't fighters to show the general public what else the NeoGeo is capable of. As for me, I'll be getting this as soon as it comes out. I've already rearranged my channels to accodomate it where I want to go (in the same column as the other two Samurai Shodown games). Never played it before and fightersgeneration.com said its quite different.
It is a real shame that the Neo is 50Hz on the VC.
Needlessly compressed with boarders and slow gameplay, I'm not paying money for that.
I have this game on neo gao cdz,its totaly fun to play this game again and again until to find all the combos
I have this on my AES, and its a good game. I presume this isnt 50Hz on the US Wii Ristar42?
Yes, the 50Hz issue is a PAL 'exclusive' - cheers, Nintendo. The Worst the US gets is weirdly sped up 60Hz Commodore 64 games.
Buy the Samurai Shodown Anthology instead on Wii for cheap...
