Review Resident Evil 2 (Nintendo 64)
The horror continues
Leon Kennedy's having a tough first day at work. As with every new job, there are new people to meet and new challenges to face – namely, zombies and killing said zombies. Capcom's Resident Evil 2 follows two concurrent storylines: that of Leon, a police officer, and Claire Redfield, who's in town to investigate the...

Mummy!
As one moves into adulthood, it's possible to look back and laugh at things that once terrified you. News The Original N64 Resident Evil 2 Dev Team Will Livestream The New Remake With Full Commentary
A must-watch
You may well have noticed that a little game called Resident Evil 2 is launching today across PS4, Xbox One and PC, acting as a remake of the 1998 original that first launched on PlayStation. You may also be aware that the original game was ported to the Nintendo 64, with the console's limited cartridge storage space making that version...
Video Digging Deep Into Resident Evil 2 On N64, One Of The Most Remarkable Ports Of All Time
Two CDs on one 64MB cartridge? Madness!
The Resident Evil series may be most closely associated with Sony hardware, but it's important to remember that it has been a platform agnostic franchise since the first entry, which, lest we forget, also made it onto the Sega Saturn. Since then, we've seen notable Nintendo instalments such as Resident Evil 4,...
News A Resident Evil 2 Remake Has Been Confirmed
Hoping beyond hope for a Wii U or NX version
It's with some hesitation that we're sharing the happy news that a Resident Evil 2 Remake has, after much demand, been confirmed. Our hesitation is simply due to the fact that some handsome recent remasters in the series have been skipping Wii U, but tomorrow is another day and timelines may bring hope...
News We'd Probably Buy This Fan-Made Resident Evil 2 Remake
Uses Unreal Engine 3
Just recently Capcom released a new HD version of Resident Evil - that's a HD port of a port, for the record - that annoyingly skipped Wii U. That first game is wheeled out regularly, yet its arguably superior sequel - surprisingly called Resident Evil 2 - isn't shown quite the same love. We're big fans of this one, and recall...

"At some point the God of Video Games descends upon us"
The Wonderful 101 may be, for some, the next big Wii U release on their radar. Exclusive to the system and published by Nintendo, it's a game that bears many of the hallmarks of its developer in that it's undeniably a PlatinumGames title — it looks and feels like the work of the studio...

The Resident Evil franchise has forged a reputation for inducing fear in the bravest of gamers. I still find it curious that the GameCube version doesn't look much better according to reviews. Still need to get this game, but the price for the GameCube version is so high that I think I will just get the PC version. Or maybe the Wii version if they decided to remake it.
If I'm not mistaken, the N64 version has slight graphical improvements over the PSX while the GCN version is a straight port of the PSX version. I'm a big fan of the EX Files that are included in the N64 version, too.
