Yay, Play has posted my copy! It probably won't get here until a few weeks have passed, but I don't mind. If I just get my gold Wii Remote, CD and of course the game in the mail before Christmas, I'll be pleased. I still have to beat Twilight Princess, anyway, and I want to do that before I start playing Skyward Sword.
I think every now and then, people seem to forget that video games are made for entertainment, for you to have fun. If someone finds more joy in playing an older game, they can like that one more than some newer one, or even find it better because it's what they like and what they prefer. No matter how much "better" some newer game is. Like I said.
Nostalgia goggles or not, if someone think a game is better, then it's better to them, whether it is or not to all the reviewers/random-forum-arguing-peoples on earth.
You can't compare "facts" when saying which game is better to an individual either. Maybe they enjoy some archaic controls more than new, revolutionary whatever controls. And that's all that matters.
Who really cares what other people enjoy playing anyway? It's not like it should effect you in any way...
I guess this type of argument is tired by now, so I'll stop
Gamespot gave it 7.5. I seriously don't have a f*****g clue what they are thinking. They gave TP 8.8, so according to them, TP is better than SS. Also, in metacritic, TP= 9.5, SS= 9.4. And just because this one twisted opinion. Well, maybe i should just enjoy all the 10/10's SS got from ign, GI and others.
But yeah Gamespot are huge trolls, they've never been any good with Nintendo coverage anyway and their site is so annoying to use. I bet they just did it for the traffic. And the people who comment on their site are really annoying as well.

Again, and again, and again, it's only an opinion. That's it. Just vecause it doesn't agree with yours, and let me remind you that you haven't even played the game, doesn't make it an invalid review-- yadda yadda yadda.
If Ign gave it a perfect 10 there's no reason to think skyward sword is anything but awesome. Everyone knows it takes alot to impress those guys. Especially with Nintendo games.

Or the sole reviewer enjoyed the game and thought that 10 was an appropriate score?
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Haven't the majority of Ign's 10s gone to Nintendo games?
When I initially heard about Gamespot's review score, naturally I was a bit miffed (despite having not played it yet), but what purpose does it serve to get worked up about a review. If you're worried someone might pass it up because of a negative review, you can be thankful that in this case, Zelda Skyward Sword is otherwise universally praised.
By the way, the point of the video if you aren't able to watch it is that Jim Sterling (of Distructiod) rants about how butthurt people got when a game was given an 8 out of 10, where they thought it deserved much more.
PS - still waiting for my copy. Like I said, it had been despatched already, but It's probabbly a standard delivery, and will be here tomorrow.

Pardon me, but this is an opinion! Just because most people like it doesn't mean everyone does. I can defend this reviewer by relating this to my own experiences. I've played games many people loved and got high reviews, and I personally either didn't care for them or hated them. Reviews reflect the reviewer's opinion and thus they can dislike the game you love whether you like it or not.

B.S. Reviews are supposed to reflect what everyone wants them to reflect so that they can gloat about it and appease their ill-concealed inner-fanboy.
haha ! Well On my side, I've finished the third temple, and it is reaaaaally great ! I LOVE it ! I can see a few problems here and there that kinda affect the flow of the game, but it's a Zelda, and if you've played them, you know what I mean : wandering aimlessly in a room searching for the thingy to activate to go to the next ^^ And since the game isn't officially out yet, it really is my wits vs the game for once, and not even with a guide (because you know, when it's available, it's too tempting to have a peek ! Here, I'm having the full Zelda experience ! (I just hope there isn't any water temple ^^')
