Anyone watched the Zelda Retrospective on Gametrailers?

While they admit they're not 100% right, it does make sense to me, and even though they made the video before Twilight Princess, when I think about it, I think its likely it fits in that slot.

What do you guys make of it?

I remember seeing that right before TP came out. A few of their facts contradict things that Nintendo has said, but most of it seems pretty accurate.

Well, Nintendo stated a contradiction to this video on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

On Snake's Codec, he talks to Mei Ling about Toon Link. Mei Ling says that there have been diffirent Links throughout time, each coming from different locations. This shows that the timeline isn't completely true. Also, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are set hundreds of years apart, so they definitely can't be the same person.

Is that the horrible one that suggests Oracle of Ages and oracle of Seasons took place in different timelines despite any idiot who played them can tell you they obviously didn't?

The scene in Twilight Princess in which the sages imprison Gannondorf is the biggest contradiction for me, but perhaps it is what happened after Ocrania of Time but just visualised differently. I suppose the gods could have flooded hyrule after the events of Twilight.

Its all very confusing, but I think that everyone alot of people follow that after Ocarina the timeline splits to Adult Link & Young Link

It does suggest that they happened at the same time but in the different universes, something to do with completing them both gives you a password that allows you to fight ganon, but I dunno, that was just a comment left on the video, I've not played through them both

That's because Nintendo (I can't remember who) said that the timeline split. If you think about it, it does make sense.

I think there is no one timeline. Look at the maps of Hyrule throughout Zelda history. You can't tell me that Death Mt., the forest, and Hylian Lake play leap frog over the centuries.
