Nintendo Life didn't pick the story up at all. Zangeki no Reginleiv (former working title Dynamic Slash) was announced for February in Japan. It's rated D (ages 17 and up), has 4 player online coop and supports the motion plus or classic controller for sword combat (my guess would be that on the CC the right analog controls the sword). You can slice off enemy limbs. It's made by Sandlot (Earth Defense Force series, among others) who tend to make epically sized games (EDF's smallest enemies were the size of a house and the game had 50+ enemies swarming you at once on the PS2!) and use 1:1 sword controls quite often (as far as I know all of their mech games had direct arm controls) so this might finally be the big Wii sword fighting game we are all waiting for.
I think another thread announced this, but yeah, it looks good. I hope it has some life outside Japan, 4player online could be great, especially Nintendo published Motion+ swingy goodness.
