The levels look much more varied, and of course Yoshi makes anything better. More excited about the new Metroid, but this will be another game everyone should buy, I'm sure.
I would have loved the same gameplay moved back to the mushroom kingdom but I wont gripe, this will be a must have for me and I'm sure, any other Wii owner.
Hell the original one was the reason I bought the Wii in the first place.

Exactly. Wouldn't you think that a turn-base two player mode would be great? I mean when you die, you switch with your friends and you have individuals lives. Just like the good ole NES and SNES Mario days. Also, they should add 4D special effects, because that would be epic.
I'm looking forward to this. I loved the first one, even if it was a tad bit easy. Maybe I should go back to trying to beat it with Luigi. Anyway, this looks much more enticing to me than New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The latter merely received a raised eyebrow from me. I'd much rather see a NSMB 2 for DS.

Turn-based Marios are awesome. There's something I really like about playing a game, messing up, and then having a friend or sibling come in and try it. 4P co-op, especially with competitive scoring, is a different kind of fun. If it's anything like Four Swords, it'll just be frantic. And if it is put online, I foresee every game starting the same way LBP games start, with some random guy grabbing you and pulling you into a hole the first chance he gets.
Of course, I'm not complaining.... I'm usually that guy.
You know Ive never completed Mario Galaxy , I was a lil stuck on the 'lava' level so I put the (amazing) game down And never really went back to it (haved planned too), well better get this game clocked before SMG 2 .
Loved Mario Galaxy very very very much! And G2 looks like more of the same but better.
Me too Pegasus, was waaaay too easy, yet Luigi Galaxy only held me for a short time before i got distracted. Now I have a great excuse to go back and get to know 'the slidy one'.
All I ask is that unlocking Luigi or whatever not be tied to getting every last frickin' star. If they make some of the levels harder and I can skip them and carry on with the game, this I can live with, but I don't like this notion of alternate characters being locked unless you're the uber Mario gamer.
Also loved Galaxy, even though I never finished it, because it was just too long for me. But only one week to go until 3 week vacation, so I might get back and finish it to build up the hype for Galaxy 2

I believe I might have mentioned once or twice how much I love Galaxy, so I'm certainly looking forward to this -- it'll be the first time since the 2D days of the SNES where more than one "primary" Mario platformer has appeared on the same home console iteration (still sad that we never got a Mario 64-2 or a Sunshine-2).
I'd love for them to take the enormous time saved from already having the game engine / assets completed to twist the gameplay into something very different, like the way one of my favorite Zelda games, Majora's Mask, was able to use OoT's engine and assets but turn it into an entirely new kind of experience. I imagine it'll just be like getting an expansion pack of levels, but even that is something I can't complain about, if they're of the same quality as those in the original game.
