I tried a wireless one that took batteries but it wouldn't work properly and the pointer on screen jumped about a lot on the few times it would actually appear on screen. So I am not going back to wireless.
I've had great success with wired sensor bar from a company named Konig. I tend to go through sensor bars every six months or so thanks to one of the cats chewing the wire.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
two candles! joke aside. i think every wired one is okay. wireless makes no sense at all 'cause you wont move that thing anywhere...why spend batteries an that? or get a replacment one from nintendo support, shorten the cable and duck-tape it to the ground...cat-proof.
I use the OEM wired one at home, but keep a wireless one - along with spare video and power cables - in the Naki GamePak for when I take it on the road.
I confess to being out of the loop on this one. Do sensor bars die? And why bother with a wireless one? I'm not being facetious -- I saw one in Best Buy over the weekend, and I was wondering why people just don't use the one that came with the Wii.
I have the wilreless sensor bar made by Psyclone. Haven't had any problems, works great. It has a built in battery that recharges by plugging it into one of the USB ports.
@burning Spear, It is called a careless mother with a vacuum cleaner. She is just going around cleaning and next thing you know, SNAP there goes your wire. I never got mad at her since she was cleaning for me but I was very disappointed untill I bought a new one. Since then, all I use is wireless.
Wii : 5234 3442 0233 5325 3DS: 2664-2106-1671 I have A LOT of games, if you want to play something, just email me jangonov...
I use the normal one at the moment as I'm not too far from the telly. I had to buy a chunky battery operated one for when the projector is on the go, and that's works nice, but if you forget to turn it off when you go to bed, batteries go bye bye.
I always use a lighter when I don't have my original sensor bar Lighter in one hand and wii-mote in the other works fine in a pinch as long as it's not too bright in the room. Plus it impresses people.
I got the wireless one after my cat chewed threw mine. I'm in the process of getting a new one off amazon once I get my new checking account set up. It's amazing how many people have had this problem. Take heed Nintendo.
