I just got an email offering a disc only version of WiiPlay Motion for Club Nintendo members who have registered Flingsmash or the original WiiPlay (original WiiPlay for me). It's $29.99 (plus $5 shipping and sales tax). It's a bit of a ripoff, I think, but it doesn't look like I'd be able to get more than $15 for a black Wiimote plus on eBay, so I went ahead and purchased it.
I already have 2 wiimotes with M+ attachments, and I like to have all my accessories match my Wii (white, not black). I liked the original game, but didn't want to spend $50 just to get the extra Wiimote, so this is a decent deal for me. If you're a CN member, check your email.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery

I got the offer but I don't think I'm gonna take it. 30 bucks is just too much for me when I have to be clinging to every penny for upcoming 3DS releases. I do plan on getting the game though. I'll just wait for it to pop up on Amazon used for like 10 bucks disc only. That's what I did with FlingSmash and I couldn't be happier!
Yep I got the offer, but it does seem a bit steep. I would have expected $20 for the game alone. In any case, I could use another nice black remote with the integrated M+, so I'll probably just buy the full game.
Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -
I have Wii Play and FlingSmash. I said I intended to buy Wii Play: Motion, so maybe that's why I didn't get the offer. I got a pre-order deal on it for $40.49 from bestbuy.ca, but oddly it still hasn't shipped yet. I doubt the game alone is honestly worth $30 +$5 shipping — maybe $20 at most.
My original Wiimotes are a bit beat up and the D-pads aren't as good as on the Wiimote+ controllers, and it's nice to not have to play with the Motion+ add-on, so for me the game is more about getting the Wiimote+ than the game disc. I'll happily take the game and the Club Nintendo coins as an added bonus, but based on Wii Play and FlingSmash I'm not counting on this game to be of substantial value.
I didn't get the email, but I think it's because I'm Canadian. Is everyone who got the offer American? I'm kind of disappointed, I would have gone for it. My Club Nintendo account is American and I've even bought extra styli from their shop and redeemed coins, and they shipped to Canada no prob. I think I must go send an email...
Maybe it's because they can't mail it to us because of the Canada Post lockout. I ordered a pouch from Club Nintendo that was supposed to ship yesterday and hasn't yet, but I have no idea whether they will ship some other way or wait till Canada Post sorts itself out.
Okay, I've completed the game now, and I can honestly say I don't think this game is worth $30 for the game only. If it had been a WiiWare game I would have valued it at $10 or $12. Of the 12 game modes there were only 2 that I really enjoyed playing and would consider worth paying a few dollars for. Everything else felt like random spare parts that weren't really quite games or games they rescued from the Island of Misfit Toys.
Eh, I watched the E3 trailer on the Nintendo Channel last night and this game looks pretty lame. I'm not planning on picking this up unless I find it for $5 somewhere down the line.

This game won't be the same as Wii Play. Some amazing 2nd Parties are working on it. It has more minigames and from what is shown in the trailer, they're much more complex and fun.
Skip. Good-feel AND Chunsoft? Wow, what a complete waste of talent.
Why? Do you think their games on Wii Play Motion will suck? Have you played them? And how is it a waste of talent when we finally get some quality MotionPlus party games?
Don't you think Wii Play Motion will be a multimillion seller just like Wii Play - and don't you think developers like Skip, Good-Feel and Chunsoft could make even better games with the money they make from such an ineviatable hit that Wii Play Motion will be?
I think they will buy diamond rings for their wives, and Ferraris for their kids and don't care about the future of gaming, that's the most logical predicition when your corporation gets the chance to develop such a potential goldmine.
People will put up the game only on eBay or Amazon Marketplace if you wait, and you'll probably get it much cheaper than what Nintendo is offering you. I for one will probably be selling mine shortly.
