Topic: Wii Titles You're Buying This Year

2010 has arrived and so far, it seems that this year will be the best year for the Wii so far. There are so many excellent first and third party games being released this year (a Mario, Metroid, and Zelda game all in the same year) So, what games do you plan on buying this year on the Wii? I really can't wait for No More Heroes, Monster Hunter, and Sin and Punishment 2.

Too many I want. Realistically I will only be able to get a few. Tatsunoku vs Capcom, No More Heroes 2, Red Steel 2 and there are several others. If Metroid Other M looks appealing at release I will be getting it over anything.

Sin and Punishment 2, Red Steel 2, No More Heroes 2, Galaxy 2, Other M, Zelda Wii, The Grinder.

Oh, I forgot Monster Hunter. Kinda made a pact with my friends to buy this one. Note that I'd have to see some reviews and community talk first before I decide on some of the third party titles.

Super Mario Galaxy 2, Data East Arcade Classics and Sin & Punishment 2.

Only Zelda Wii. I'm spending the rest of my money on 360 games. And maybe a DS game or two...

I've already started the year off great for Wii with Sky Crawlers. I think the Wii games I'm most looking forward to right now are downloadable titles. Super Meat Boy, Cave Story, Bit.Trip Runner, and Pearl Harbor Trilogy. I am also of course looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, and Zelda Wii, among some others.

If it ships this year, Epic Mickey, Metroid: Other M depending on the style of game it is, I'm picking up SMG when I get my check on the 3rd and if I like it I might get SMG2.

I really have to cut back on my game buying since I have a lot of medical tests coming this year and I have to pay to have my teeth fixed (i.e. pulled and get dentures) so I'll be in the whole this time next year.

All that appeal to me right now are Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Epic Mickey. I would also say Zelda Wii, but even with it's announcement, I just can't see it coming this year.

I started out 2010 by buying Sky Crawlers. In a week I'll be buying Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. After that, I have my eye on the WiiWare Pearl Harbor: Red Sun Rising. After that, everything else is gravy, but I'll be sure to pick up a title here or there. There are so many games I don't have, which can be bought at relatively low prices now, that I'm sure I'll find a lot of titles to occupy my time (besides, if you saw my backlog, you'd know I really don't need to buy any games to keep myself busy!)

Neither are certain, much the opposite, and besides them I doubt I'll buy anything else.

My existing pre-orders are: Endless Ocean 2, Sky Crawlers, Red Steel 2, Octomania (UK release is taking forever), Williams Pinball Classics (see Octomania).

Very strongly looking at FFCC: The Crystal Bearers, Silent Hill, The Calling, Metroid: The Other M, Epic Mickey, Super Mario Galaxy 2 (that might change, all depends on what the hype is like), Iron Man 2 (review copy looks likely), Monster Hunter 3, Sin & Punishment 2, Super Monkey Ball Step and Roll -- though none of those are pre-orders.

Definite buys, but not available to pre-order at my usual GAME online shop: No More Heroes 2, Arc Rise Fantasia (actually no EU release date yet, but I have faith in Rising Star), Fragile Dreams, The Grinder.

Games with only American release confirmed that I intend to buy: Data East Arcade Classics (Video Games Plus pre-order is in!), Shiren the Wanderer (this one I'm waiting to see if Rising Star can pull a rabbit out of the hat).

There are still a number of games that are already out that I was interested in and haven't gotten around to picking up yet. Let's see... Mario Kart, Wii Music (maybe), NSMB, MP Trilogy (I already have them all though), Crystal Bearers, Boom Blox 2 (I was late in picking up the first one though and might still need to play around with that one a bit more first)... There's probably more but I can't think of them right now. Plus, I've got a ton of games that I already own that I still need to make time for.

As for what's coming up, I'll be keeping an eye on... (flipping through latest Nintendo Power for reminders)

No More Heroes 2, Fragile, Sin and Punishment 2 (I need to try out the original on VC first though), Monado, Red Steel 2, Lost in Shadow, Epic Mickey, Flip's Twisted World (heard about this a while back but it was Europe exclusive, kind of surprised to see it's getting a US release now), Arc Rise Fantasia, and probably more I'm forgetting or don't know about yet.

I might also be a bit curious about Sakura Wars. (I'm just not sure yet what it is.)

And obviously I'll also be waiting for Zelda, Mario and Metroid, of course.
