Red Steel.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I managed to avoid that one hehe.
Definitly looking forward to Red Steel 2 though, how about you?

Klonoa - I didn't think it was a bad game, but after all the hype on nintendolife I was expecting a lot more. Too easy, too short, and a bit too childish for my liking. The final few stages were challenging and stunning, but it was too little too late.

Agreed. Totally worth the buy, but not for more than 15-20$

Boom.

Let's Tap

Untitled

Yes, I think I may be one of the 13 people on this planet who actually baught this. And why did I you say? Well..I was curious about the unique quirky tap controls 'and' most of the reviews online were actually pretty damn positive(in the 8's)
Not to mention Let's Tap is dirt Cheap next to buying Wii Play as a stand alone title. Overall though the experience doesn't feel intuitive or satisfying really at all. Tap Runner is the best of the bunch, but even that gets stale fast. The game's obviously best played with a group of people...But the Mini Games feel too shallow and simplistic. yet on the flip side i really dig the vibrant and glowy trippy visuals..simple yet effective. Anyways as far as Party games go this ones not that great of a choice. Wario Ware Smooth Moves is the greatest if you ask me, along with Wii Sports Resort, or New Super Mario Bros Wii.

"Okami came before Twilight Princess. TP was the copy and lesser game."

TP was a copy? Okami copied it's whole structure from zelda series. I was way more immersed in twilight princess, which is why i consider it a better game, even though both games were masterpieces. TP also has a higher rating in metacritic an game rankings, so i'm not the only one. Anyway, the title i thought i'd regret when bought was Castlevania Judgment, but regardless of numerous bad reviews the game was actually pretty entertaining. So.. i really don't regret buying anything, at least yet.

Okami- Pretty but boring
The Beatles Rockband - unless you have all the instruments this game is pretty lame
Alone in the dark - shudders
Umbrella Chronicles - House of the dead is way more fun

Ew, Castlevania: Judgement? I played it for an Hour or 2 and I wan't the time i wasted back
It was mediocre at best but honestly I wouldn't even drop $5 or even take it for free.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicals

This was just a totaly half assed effort from Capcom to 'test' the Wii Audience.
The game's chuggy frame rate dipped below 30fps at times, The hit detection for bosses were so tiny and they were incredibly frusturating, Animation's and hit detection were weak and unsatisfying, the reticule aiming wasn't up to snuff, the game just wasn't that fun and once I hit the streets of Racoon City I wanted to call it quits. Indoor Environments look decent while the outdoors are a tad on the bland and ugly side, Boss fights draged on and on...Especially the baddie against the final Battle in the RE0 part of the game..

And I have yet to try DarkSide Chronicals. But it does look alot better than UC, but it smells like a rental to me.
I got DeadSpace Extraction instead and will be playing it in a few weeks or so after I'm done playing my Other Wii titles at the momento.

Ya I actually found HOTD: overkill to be a bit more fun than Umbrella Chronicals, but not by mutch.
HOTD 2 & 3 Return blow away both games

I also see that people really don't stray too far from the beaten path. It's almost as if most people here don't buy anything but Mario and the odd Sega game around here. Nothing on any of the other lists comes remotely close to sucking as bad as Battle Rage does. Nothing.

Almost 30% of my Wii collection are Nintendo published games. I didn't plan it that way and my true favorites this generation tend to be 3rd party titles, but it's no secret that Nintendo makes games that are consistently of higher quality than any other publisher/developer. Of course, that's also why most of the games that I regret buying are from Nintendo: their games have the highest expectations to live up to, and (because of a strong track record) are more likely to be purchased blind than 3rd party games.

LOL... I have the version with the bonus CD. That's probably the best part about the package. Can't say I regret buying though - knew it was bad going in, and just wanted to see how poorly things turned out. Since the game was clearanced faster than Spyborgs, it was cheaper than a Happy Meal.

Castlevania Judgment is another one that I would buy if I could find it for $5. Not because the game deserves to be played, but because I can hardly believe it exists. It's sick fascination for me... like a love for B-level (or worse) movies.

I bought Castlevania Judgment and I didn't thought it was that bad. It could have been better but is obvious that it was an "experiment" more than a full qualityu game. Stil, I haven't touched that game in a year.

Ya but there are 8 Bit jobs and they ditched the terrible, ugly, choppy and tedious City gameplay
Maybe that's why it feels so short hehe. Can't say myself as I havent played it, only the first.

If anyone's keen to get rid of these games in exchange for either Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Elebits (NTSC versions) gimme a bell. They're not games I really regret buying but I ain't keeping them either. If noone wants 'em I'll chuck 'em up on E-Bay.

As for Wii games I DO regret buying, I'll have to say DDR: Hottest Party. Except I can't get rid of it as my wife loves it

A way to enjoy castlevania judgment: turn the sound effects volume low and backround music high. The game has awesome soundtrack which is hard to hear properly with default settings.

I hope no one lets this thread sway their opinion on games to get. There are a lot of good games listed in here they just aren't to everyone's taste. I often find myself disliking some games with excellent reviews. Usually more so with big blockbuster titles that reviewers unfairly rate highly but offer really bland & boring game play. I'd rather a slightly flawed but original game.

Zelda TP I don't regret but I'm having trouble completing it. It does get pretty boring. The whole world is pretty uninspiring. It feels more like a beta. There's little to do outside the dungeons.

There was more outside dungeon action sequences and gameplay variety etc than any other zelda game before.

sonic and the secret rings....It's barely a game since you can't control your character more than forwards, backwards, and jump. Missions are like break 10 pots lol what a stupied mission system

ganondwarf has always been short
