Topic: Wii Sports Resort 3-on-3 Hoops

Wow. After tooling around with Wii Sports Resort’s three-point shooting game for the past few weeks, I finally gave 3-on-3 a whirl last night. I wound up being hooked and awake until 2.5 hours before I had to get up for work. I’ve heard uninspired reviews about this game, but I think it’s great. There’s lots of dimension to it, and the controls, once memorized, are a snap. Highly recommended.

I only tried 3 on 3 this evening, probably the last game I hadn't played yet. And we had fun, it's a nice simple system, but I can see there's some depth to be had there, instead of just falling on my face whilst trying to pinch the ball. Passing it around is great, and the practice I've had with hoop-shots came in handy. I'm sad though, I had a victory stolen with only 2.something seconds on the clock.

I won't ignore that mode now I've tried it.

Kind of the same here, one of the last games I got around to playing.

Trying to figure out more strategies, it annoys me when you pass to a mii that has a step or is even with a defender and you dribble and they do not charge the basket. Like is you dribble fast or slow, do your temates react different? The AI will go behind the arc immmediately if you need a 3 late in the game though.

It is fun in its own strange way.

I kinda suck, for the longest time I would win but just barely and climb through the ranks with a +30 or whatnot. Still not pro, I like the shooting mechanic but am a long way from consitent with it. Feels good to knock down a 3..!

Yeah I had fun with the 3-on-3. My girlfriend usually kicks my butt at the 3-Point Challenge, but I am pretty good at stealing (it always annoys the crap out of her), so that is why I usually beat her in the 3on3.
