@Birdman: Thanks. I've been a bit disappointed with SST. Maybe MPT will be better.

As much as I enjoyed SEGA Superstars Tennis and as big of a fan of SEGA that I am, MPT is better overall.

oh well then in that case why do you think i should get metroid prime 3

Because it's awesome and the Wii controls work very well with it.
I actually like the original Prime (with Wii controls) the best, which is why I think you should get Metroid Prime Trilogy. All three games are very much worth playing and you can't ask for a better bundle.

And it's nothing like Halo or TF2. It's more of a first person adventure, and the games are very fun.

Pikmin NPC is fun. It was my first time playing it and I still enjoy it. I might play it again soon, as a matter of fact. I'm sure you'll like ACCF.

If you have never played an Animal Crossing game, then that gets my vote. They are great and can eat hundreds of hours of game time. The only downside with the Animal Crossing franchise is that it hasn't changed very much, so if you've played one game then there is no reason to upgrade.

Fire Emblem is my second choice. This is an AMAZING strategy game, but it's very hard and very long. If you want short and easy then stay away.

Hmmm... I won't comment on one of your original choices because I haven't played those games. From the ones I have tried, they rank something like this:

(1) RE4 Wii Edition -- This game is extremely well made, and has good replay value after beating the game because of unlockable modes and new challenges. I particularly liked playing through the story as Ada Wong, although the Mercenaries mode is pretty cool too. It's better than RE5 in every way except graphics and co-op play and remains the best game in the Resident Evil series... so getting the game for only $20 is a steal.

(2) MP3C -- Unfortunately none of the sequels to the original Metroid Prime have been as good as the first game, but the Wii controls felt really natural and made this game fun to play. The overall experience is one worth having, especially if you have already played the other two games on GameCube. (If you can find a copy of the Trilogy version, it's clearly a better choice though.)

(3) No More Heroes 2 -- This game clearly isn't as good as the choices above, but has a great sense of humor and some scenes that you have to see to believe. If you liked the original NMH then it's a safe bet you'll enjoy this one too. The only reason it doesn't rank higher is because (much like the original NMH) there are still some flaws and issues with the game... if you enjoy the style it's easy to overlook those problems though. One note: I don't recommend buying this game unless you have already finished the original.

(4: tie) DQ Swords / TMNT Smash-Up -- I rather enjoy both of these games, but totally understand how they can be a "love it or hate it" deal.
(4a) DQ Swords is basically an on-rails game where players attack with slashes from the Wii remote. There are some basic RPG trappings and story, but gameplay is really all about the arcade experience. I did enjoy playing through the full game... but it clearly gets repetitive and is best played in short bursts. If you like the on-rail gameplay then this is a nice variation on that genre.
(4b) TMNT Smash-Up is a fun four-player fighting game in the same vein as Smash Bros, with some small but significant differences in how the games play. Personally I prefer this game to Smash Bros because of the license and the feeling that players have more control over the result of battles instead of relying on items and stage effects. The lower price point (and even the lower amount of content associated) also matches my interest in this genre better. Most people will disagree though, so try before you buy if that's an option.

I just got Resident Evil 4 Wii edition for $15 but haven't played it yet, I know it's older but it's new to me.

It was money well spent, I can't believe I'm just now getting around to playing this game...

MP NPC + MP2:E NPC + MP3 for $50 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> all Sonic games ever created packaged together for $1.

Edit: I should note that $4 and $10 for Metroid Prime 1 & 2 on the GC are about the right place, since I consider them to be barely playable on the single-analog control scheme that was used on GC. They are easily worth $50 apiece on the Wii.
