Has Nintendo indicated one way or the other if they'll be releasing Wiimotes with either WM+ bundled in a package or built in? I need to pick up at least one more Wiimote soon, but if they'll be doing this i'd wait for it.
On a side note, sadly my Nyko wireless nunchuck doesn't work with WM+! Well, it might actually work, but the design of the WM+ dongle (with the little "feet" on the bottom) prevents the wireless dongle from the Nyko from being plugged in! Not a big deal, but i did have to dig through my closet for the standard nunchuck.
you CAN remove those little feets. cut and sanpaper them...but there is NO Guarantee anymore. but your wireless controller should work fine after that....on the other hand...just remove WM+ to use this.
nintendo has nothing announced on the side of pack-/build-ins.
wouldn't make much sense now couse just three games are using them actually. and i think it takes time to get "normal people" to understand what this is all about and why they should pay extra for it. they are going to wonder why i wont't work with older games and stuff...you know people...
Yeah, i'll still use the wireless for regular games, just had been hoping to not have to switch in and out. Like i said, not a big deal (and actually a very little one since a large share of my Wii gaming is either VC or through HBC).
It does of course make sense that it'll be a while (after greater market penetration) WM+ is the standard. Just annoying that it's like $70 now for a new Wiimote and WM+ ($50 for the 'mote/WiiPlay pack -- do they even sell Wiimotes alone anymore? -- and another $20 for the WM+ dongle). Though i am likely picking up Tiger soon, so that'll save paying for at least one more WM+.
