Topic: Wii Karaoke Titles? Preferrably Wiiware?

Just started the search process but I thought people might have an opinion on which ones they like.

I did reason something about Hudson having a Wiiware title in 2008 but I couldn't find anything on their website about it.

Thank you

The WiiWare title you're reffering to is called KARAOKE JOYSOUND and it has been only released in the Japanese Wii Shop.

thanks for the info... any other ideas for Karaoke?

There really aren't any good karaoke games for the Wii; at least there's nothing on a par with SingStar or Lips. They've all got a limited selection of songs, cover versions rather than originals, and little or no facility for DLC.

Your best bet would be one of the Rock Band or Guitar Hero games that has vocals. I'd lean towards Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero 5; although maybe Band Hero or The Beatles: Rock Band would be worth a look if your tastes run that way. If you're not interested in doing the guitar and drums (but you'd be missing half the game in doing so) the cost of one of the solus packs plus a USB microphone would be a lot less than getting the full set of instruments.

What is a solus pack plus uSB microphone? I do have a regular microphone... thanks

I think he meant solo pack? Find a copy of the disc only, not an instrument set. If you find Rock Band (or any similar game) without instruments, it's only about $20. If you don't already have a Wii-compatible mic, Gamestop lists one for only $10! ...though it's not currently available online. Point is though, you should be able to hook yourself up cheap. I haven't played any for Wii myself, as I have SingStar.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

A solus pack is the game itself without instruments. The terminology might vary in other parts of the world but at least that's what they're called in the UK.

Ok Thanks. People still buy from gamestop? Their prices are total rip offs. Ebay, Amazon or Cragislist. Gamestop is good if you are desperate and need to use it as a pawn shop. They sell overpriced used stuff not in good condition at all and buy it back pennies on the dollar. The reason why they are in business. I suppose
