it's about time nintendo is finally making a headset for the wii, it only took them about 6 years (coming out in 2011). but what pisses me off is that it looks just like the thing they have for the DS. it's like they really did just give it a new name and put the words wii on it.

Previously, the only way to communicate online was with Wii Speak, but this headset will change that. It will only be compatible with select titles, and one of the first to use it is High Voltage Software’s Conduit 2. Eric Nofsinger from High Voltage said, “By incorporating the new Wii compatible headset into Conduit 2, we are able to immerse gamers into the action like never before. The microphone allows for crystal-clear communication to your Conduit 2 friends and foes alike.” Look for this headset in stores this October for $25." Hope the final version isn't corded...
Wii never had good voice chat options, PS3 doesn't have cross game chat and 360 headsets break more often than the systems themselves.
I gave up on all of them years ago and just use Skype. All the friends I play with have Skype, it's free, and a hands free/head free mic with x10 the quality of any of the console specific ones costs < $20.
I guess if you play with a lot of 'randoms' you have no choice but I for one am happy I don't have to wrestle with any of those lacking options.
oh yeah i heard about that and thats the one i'm going to buy almost no reason getting it before blackops unless you actually use the wii speak and are going to use that to replace it.
