I just started reading the first Scott Pilgrim book and I'm really enjoying it and I think it's stupid that a game based on a comic book series with nintendo references isn't on a nintendo console.
The main reason Ubisoft didn't develop this for WiiWare is because they can actually make a profit on PSN and XBLA. Wii might be the top-selling console but it's last in users who actually use their console to play online or download games. Also, WiiWare is a good service on it's own but compared to PSN/XBLA, it's pretty terrible and lacking.
Just play your favourite retro beat 'em up instead (or Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS). Dont really like the look of the film, a major draw of the comic was the style, I'm putting off buying the last volume for some reason... Maybe Wii could get a 'Lost at Sea' game where you look for cats.
Not having Scott Pilgrim is one thing I really like about WiiWare. I read a couple of the books waiting for it to get good (although I knew the art would never improve) and after the second one I threw them back on the store shelf and read some real comics.
(Yeah, I hate Scott Pilgrim)
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
Probably the return on WiiWare development in addition to XBLA/PSN wasn't worth it to Ubisoft since they probably wouldn't have seen as significant a return on their investment. What I mean to say is, developing for Wii is different than XBLA/PSN because it is probably easier to port between XBLA/PSN. Also, as someone else briefly touched on, sales for Ubisoft software has not been stellar on the Wii as being another likely factor (primarily because they release crap, but sales of Petz and Rabbids WiiWare titles have most likely not been spectacular for them to justify spending money on development).

Until I saw this thread, I didn't know it was ever coming to XBLA. I'd heard it was PSN exclusive, but I missed the "timed" bit before. Boy, timed exclusives are stupid. That's right, I can say that even when it's in my favor!
Anyway, I'm sure it COULD come to WiiWare if they felt it would be worthwhile, but I completely agree that it's probably NOT worth their while from a business perspective.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
cause havent you seen the movie! wii (lol's at the cause of me still being in the stage were we is wiiplaced by wii) getting ninja ninja revolution instead!
I have not seen the movie, don't plan on it either. I don't think I can stand watching it because it has Michael Cera and that may be his style, but I don't personally dig his acting. I've read all the books though, they were really funny, good cast of characters and my name is mentioned in it. ...I actually found it eerily similar to my life in some parts, but I'm not a dog... or a rockstar, sob.

Yeah but Megaman 10 on Live is 194 MB, same features and graphics than the Wii (minus resolution). If they can compress that shouldn't it be able to fit?
Ignoring the size problems, there is the consideration that maybe Nintendo never showed any interest. Sony and Microsoft were probably eager to get a popular (at the moment) property on their respective services while Nintendo was busy inking a deal for something like My Pretty Ponies Petting Zoo to hit Wiiware.

Well, Anamanaguchi did a bunch of songs for this game. I'm guessing 20 at least. Not to mention how awesome the songs are, so that probably makes it take up even more space.
