Topic: Who else enjoys Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast?

I'm excited to learn about others who feel as I do that DKBB has received some ridiculous negativity since its release. Although it's quite late, I'm thrilled that I can finally release my verdict on the game to the public, hoping to draw attention to this terribly bashed game. Oh and fair warning, please don't make stupid comments if you haven't even played the game. Thanks.

I gotta say, I've always been interested in this game. I never really understood exactly what it was that critics didn't like about it, and after how poorly Wii Music was recieved (one of my all time favorite games) I tend not to take reviews of Wii games too seriously. I'll have to give it a rent sometime.

You do that. It's unfairly criticized because many reviewers clearly didn't spend a lot of time with the game, as my review touches on. If you only play the game for a short while and don't get to see the elements that really make the game come alive then sure, negativity is bound to ensue. If you give it a try, remember that it starts off slow but gets so much better later on.

Played it, but it was a bland attempt.Give a Diddy Kong Racing type of game, and I'll be happy.

Out of curiousity, how long did you play it for?

I rented it because I was skeptical, and well I was affraid that the critics were right.
A day or 2, but I ended up playing MKWii instead 3=

Did you make it to the Expert difficulty?

I like Barrel Blast a lot. You get a pretty good workout playing it as well.

I have never tried it I've been meaning to, but its too far down my list of games I still need to get in order for me to buy it soon, I may see if I can rent it first and try it. (By try it, I mean beat a lot of it, I rented Punch-Out!! for the Wii my first time ever playing the game and I got all the way through beating King Hippo in the challenge tournament where all the characters are stronger. Wait I still need to pick that up, damn it!)
