MM2 isnt easy!!!!

I know that, I just wanted the easiest of the bunch, and (alongside the overall popularity for the game), this seems to be the one.

Isn't Megaman 3 easier than Megaman 2?

I hope they release more Megaman games soon. I have 2, 3 and 9 and want more. I have Powered Up on PSP so I don't need MM1 on VC.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Yes you do, it's Mega Man 1 for the NES!

Mega Man 2. I "tried" 1 and 3, and the level design just isn't as sweet as 2. MM2 is the easiest to get into, so I recommend that.

If you want the easiest, go with Mega Man 2.

Mega Man 2 is the best hands down. The pinnacle. The music, bosses, and level design are the best in the series, IMO, and it's also the easiest to beat with the difficulty options. MM1 is good, and 3 is just annoying with all the boss fights, (not to mention some of the bosses aren't as interesting) and things go downhill sharply for the series after that. I would like to see more of the SNES titles on VC (the X series is pretty good). The last MM game I played all the way through was 8, and it was so, so terrible.

I like Mega Man 3 the best, followed by 1, then 2, but all three are essential to Mega Man fans.

Mega Man 2 was actually the first Mega Man game that I ever played and it is still the best in my opinion. I would highly recommend it.

Anyone who says 3 is easier than 2 is insane. I downloaded 2 and played it for the first time when I was a kid, and was surprised at how easy it was. I blew right through that mother.

Which made me think I must have become a Mega Man powerhouse over the years without realizing it. Downloaded 3 and it was hard as all heck. I can't beat a single reprise level.

2 is pretty easy, but it's loads of fun, and the more difficult setting is a nice treat for those who need the punishment.

I own Mega Man 2 and love it. It was fun and crazy hard at times, but much like Mega Man 9, you just have to keep plugging along. Anyways, like everybody is saying, I hear that the original 3 MM games are the only one's worth playing. Hence, the reason I am only going to purchase those titles, since 4-6 don't look that great. For 5 bucks each, you should just spring and buy the first 3 or at least 2-3.

Any of them. They're all classics!

Go with 3. It's easier, but IMO the best mega man. You get the slide, which helps and makes alot of things look badass, you get to defeat all 8 robots from MM2 (though not in their original stages) and it still retains the challenge and feel of the MM series.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Personally, I always found MM3 easier than MM1 and MM2. In MM3 (and beyond), you can store up to 9 E-Tanks. In MM2 you can only collect up to 4 (of course, with enough practice you can beat the game without ever using an E-Tank, but for your first time you might need all the help you can get). I also like MM3's tighter controls better than the controls in MM1 and 2, which feel somewhat looser to me (in 1 and 2, Mega Man skids a bit before you stop walking, he doesn't immediately stop going up when you release the jump button, and he is really slow at climbing ladders --none of these are true in MM3). And finally, out of these three games, you can only slide in MM3. I think all of these things make MM3 easier than MM1 and MM2.

Note that I still love them all, and I personally can't wait for MM4-7 to show up on the virtual console (X1-3 would be nice too).

Mega Man 2 is pretty easy, aside from that idiotic boss that is immune to everything that isn't a terrible crash bomb.

That's gotta be the worst part out of any the six NES games. Unfortunately 9 does worse than that regularily.

I'd go with 3 out of the currently VC available ones, although 2 is right up there.

Mabbit

3 is EASIEST? in my opinion, MM2 was easiest by far
