I'd say Mega Man 10 is harder than Mega Man 9, so far I only beat Sheep Man on my first day, while on Mega Man 9, I beat Galaxy Man and Splash Woman on my first day.

changed the title to open it up a little so that there's only one 9 vs. 10 thread :3 -- TBD

I'm glad Easy mode is included in this game. Uhm, are there 3 difficulty levels? (Easy, Normal, Hard?)

There's only Easy and Normal, I could imagine there being some sort of unlockable Hard Mode or something.
And by the way, I wouldn't try Easy Mode, it's looks like an absolute joke.

Megaman 10's about the same as Megaman 9 in difficulty to me at least. I'm at Wily stage 3 right now. Oh, won't spoil it, but the mid-boss / boss of Wily 1 is NEAT.

Right now Mega Man 10 is feeling a bit more difficult than 9. There's a stage and a boss I'm finding devilishly tricky.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

A bit harder, I suppose. Not much. At least, not once you figure out the boss pattern. If you start with Sheep Man, it's easy to figure out the next three. I'm not sure which stage to play now though so I'm screwing around with the challenges instead for a bit.

I wish they would post dates for DLC already. I'd love to know who the secret character is, if the hard modes and endless mode are returning, and if any other surprises are in store.

Hard and Super Hard (in MM9, Hero and Superhero modes--might be similar nomenclature here) were 100 point downloads for MM9. Something similar will probably (and hopefully) be included here--much more intelligent enemy and trap layouts that actually require subweapon use mid-stage (or rather are difficult enough to make you want to use them mid-stage). Much harder to clear stages untouched.

EDIT - @adam - they were 2 weeks and 4 weeks from release for MM9, as I recall. I'd expect something similar here.

We're all saying that MM10 is harder because we just got it. It's easier to compare both games if you've finished them.

Thanks, Od! That is one rocking line-up of DLC! Shame we have to wait until April, but I think I'll be busy enough with the main game, Proto Man, and challenge mode.

Thinking that Mega Man 10 has only been out for, you know, less than 24 hours, I don't think anyone (or atleast anyone on this site), has really bought this game yet, let alone beat it. I know I haven't and thats why this topic doesn't really make too much sense. Come back in like a month and then we'll talk.

Just for you.

Does 10 actually flow, or is it a poorly paced death-trap-athon that 9 likes to be?

I personally thought that 9 flowed perfectly, but yeah. Mega Man 10 has more puzzle elements to it than 9 did.

Eh, I'll get this sometime. Right now it's priority number three, Phoenix Wright 1 & 2 are more necessary.

I think MM9 was Much Harder IMO I'm on Wily stage 1 with Mega man on Normal

I think MM9 was more difficult just because I wasn't expecting it. The original six were pretty easy in comparison to 9 so I guess I was expecting the difficulty in 10, but it's still a good challenge. The only knock on the game so far is Mega Man's colors when he receives a weapon are too similar. Three shades of blue and two shades of purple seem to be a bit uninspired, but the level design is the best in any of the games so far. I'm on Wily 1 after an hour. The W-Tank adds a bit of strategy to the gameplay that I didn't expect.

I like Mega man 10 better than Mega man 9 because it has Original Music not like MM9 witch Borrowed Music from MM2

But still great games

Megaman 9 took me forever to beat, but now that i know the weakenesses i can blaze through it pretty quick.
Megaman 10 is a work in progress. So far it seems to be kicking the crap outta me, so thats good but Ill get some special weapons soon, and then destruction will ensue! Mwahahahahahhaah
