Topic: What happened to the rest of the Turtle games?

Why was it okay to give us the first and crapiest of the TMNT games but none of the others? I was kinda hoping for turtles in time at some point. I heard something a while back about a remake of it but it sounds like only Xbox live arcade is getting it. Does Microsoft just have more money or something?

I know. I find this unfair that the Virtual Console and WiiWare is completely derive of decent licensed games. We should at least have a way to get them on the Virtual Console.

This is one of the reasons why the Virtual Console is being a huge disappointment to me.

I feel your pain. I thought for sure Konami was going to release all 4, but alas, they just gave us a cock tease... I'd really like some official announcement from them as to whether or not they're ever going to release the other games. If they aren't going to put out anymore, they should at least have the courtesy to tell us so!

Yeah yeah yeah... we know how much we all like to complain about the VC on here; and yes it sucks that the stinking XBox360 is getting TMNT Turles in Time ReShelled on August 6th!!

But the only thing I'm going to say is this; without getting yelled at like I usually do btw!
We can ONLY HOPE for the origonal Turtles in Time to come to the VC; maybe if Ubisoft or Konami can get a hold of the TMNT liscense and somehow emulate the game for the VC! If we're lucky, we could see Turtles in Time it by 2009; but I'm not getting my hopes up if it doesn't happen!

Reason why is back on NSider2 (where I complained way much more & got yelled for it btw); I used to have a hay day just waiting for the TMNT 2 NES game to appear on the VC! And still to this day it hasn't showed! That's because I got sick of waiting for it; even when it was ERSB dropped a long time ago in 2007 it was?!
Yes it's been that long since I complained about that... take me back though; seeing my old NSider2 posts! Not to mention I use my Wii Message Board to post emails about those crappy VC release days back then!

So I leave on this sort of happy note!

If we can get TMNT Smash Up by release date September 22; then I honestly don't have a problem hoping for TMNT 4 Turtles in Time to appear on the VC... no matter how the long wait is! Could be 2009; or if we'll be waiting even longer it'll be 2010!! I don't care how long the wait is; I'll instantly download Turtles in Time when it hits the VC!

Till then... I would still rather try & get that TMNT game for the GameCube, Mutant Nightmare; which has the Turtles in Time game! I think anybody who dares not wait any longer for a VC version; needs to get that TMNT GameCube game... like myself!

I keep hoping they release turtles 2 and 4. I never played the third one, but if it was put on the vc, I would get it.

all i`m hoping for is the turtles arcade game on VCA, screw the NES version, it was terrible in comparison.
also i would love to see tournament fighters, that game kicked arse.
why the heck smash up had to follow in the shadows of smash bros i don`t know. it would have been better as a street fighter clone, like tournament fighters.

If you want something like the arcade game, pick up the 2003 Gamecube game. It has a beat 'em up style to it, and with excellent graphics too.

You don't want Turtles in Time(arcade or SNES version)?

He speaks of the original arcade game that was released as TMNT II: The Arcade Game for the NES. Though I personally never knew that Turtles in Time was an arcade game...makes sense though.

As for the topic, I would love to have all three of the sidescroller beat-em-ups on VC, but logically we probably won't get II and IV because of "competition". That would leave III: The Manhattan Project as the only one left, which would be awesome for me as it's the only Turtles game I own in cartridge format and would be glad to buy it all over again.

Let's hope for something in September... if likely it doesn't happen anyway?!

So maybe... just maybe; & if the VC happens to pick up from it's no VC game weeks & August delivers! Also we still need SSB64!

I'm hoping for the SNES version of Tournament Fighters.

Speaking of turtles games... August 5th (Today) marks the release of Turtles in Time: Remix for XBLA and PS3 according to examiner.com

There are no confirmation whatsoever, it's questionable if were ever going to see the rest of the series.

That gives me hope the original will come Monday.

The updated version looks okay, but what happened to the music?

Don't forget TMNT II The Arcade Game was ESRB rated at one point. It's been taken down since then, but there could still be hope it will be released at some point.

We could always try to contribute to Ubisoft and tell them we want it. Petitions won't do crap, but at least simple e-mails or participation in the forums might give them a simple hint that their Wii customer base wants these games.

Trust me when I say I hate XBox360 with a passion; but this TMNT version only proves that we need the origonal classics more than remakes!

And I think that basically sums up or proves that who ever has a firm grasp of the TMNT license, (be it Ubisoft); needs to let us hopefully have the other games on the VC... even if it takes years to come!

So that's why I still won't get my hopes up if the SNES Turtles in Time comes to the VC sometime in 2009 or 2010!

Is it worth both Genesis and SNES versions of Tournament Fighters to appear on the Virtual Console? I understand they are quite different games.
