With Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney comming out I was wondering what else is there for Visual Novels on Wiiwere if any? And how about what Visual Novel would you like to see ported to the Wii in some form or another?

I think "Higurashi: When They Cry" might be a good Visual Novel to bring to the wii not really a game but theres some of them for the DS like the Ace Attorney games and that's being ported to Wiiwere.

The Detective Saburoo novels would be interesting. There's a ton of them and only one has ever been translated that I'm aware of.

Yeah, I have a question: what is the point of visual novels? Why don't they just make books or comic books? They don't have any gameplay as far as I've seen, so what's the point of making them games?

I mean seriously, people complain about RPGs having too much story, but at least those have some gameplay - some graphic novels don't even meet the bare minimum requirements to even be a game!

Well, it's a medium, I think it's like with motion comics, can be done cheaper what comes with freedoms that couldn't done with making a fully animated feature. Or others just like the medium, visual novels can be like a choose your own ending book. I also think character design is a big thing in Japan. Like iconic images, Some people just want to show off thier characters.

There's a new Fullmetal Alchemist series that is like that. Hasn't been translated yet, but I think Funimation will do it at some point. Hopefully..

It looked like it had different elements of different things in there. Shocked it has cut scenes like Dragons Lair and Time Gal,

Yeah, I guess point and click does count as visual novels they did evolve from text based games what some did have pictures.
