..anyone here work for GAME?

If so, can you tell me if it's compnay policy that male employees are obliged to stop washing, shaving and exercising on taking up the job?

My two nearest shops smell like a kebab shop in summer and the employees have the nastiest collection of neckbeards this side of a linux convention

LOL

And no I don't, I couldn't work for that horrible company.

I put it more down to the clientele than the staff - if your house was filled with gangs of sweaty teenagers day-in, day-out, it'd smell too.

Besides, complaining about the hygiene and physical appearance of gamers is sort of... well, you know...

Yeah most of them are fine, our GAME is clean and bright usually, but in the summer holidays I won't go near it. Our Gamestation however is horrible, it's got a really small thin staircase leading to Wii which doubles up as a queue, so you have to squeeze past overly large salivating teens, grasping Gears and Halo, with the odd vagrant mixed in. Still prefer to shop there though.

It gets even worse on the odd occasions when they employ a GIRL.

I've never seen any of these poor creatures last longer than a month in one of those places.

There are female staff members in every single games shop near me, each of them with years of service. Maybe they're better suited to careers in games retail when there aren't amorous badgers around

@thebadger: Ouch! I kinda know what you mean, but there's one who works in 'a game shop' near me and she is awesome!

@Prosody: Do you work in an independent, or 'one of them'? If you don't mind me asking, and assuming I didn't imagine it.

I work in a box kept under a desk.

I actually work for "one of them" although I'm not telling which. Google won't keep so tight-lipped, though.

I wish I could be bothered to find out.

Working in a game shop, and working on a Nintendo website huh, you're living the dream my friend.
