I got TP for Wii at launch (actually, the day before i bought my Wii; got my Wii on the 2nd day of release) and played through it back then. With Spirit Tracks and NSMB out, i've been getting into replay mode with the Mario and Zelda games (my first replay of SMSunshine currently underway).
So am thinking of a TP replay, but thought it might be worth it to pick up the 'Cube version. Putting aside the obvious "paying twice for bascially the same game" issue, what are people's thoughts on this? I'm curious to see the difference with the world being "mirrored" and actually having more camera control.
That's a good idea, but it'll cost you a fair bit for the trouble. I looked at getting the Gamecube version but was put off by the top dollar prices on eBay, it's more expensive than the Wii version!
I got the GCN version on launch day. I always like to go for the original versions of everything, and since it was originally made for the 'cube, that was what I went for.
I'm glad my brother picked up a copy of TP for the Cube now. This thread is making me want to replay it (without spoending a lot of money)
Quick tip: Check pawn shops for games. They usually charge a lot less for them than any other place that sells used games (the TP my brother got cost him 7.99 last week)
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
I second the pawn/thrift store recommendation, though of course their selection is going to be limited. Last time I tried this, I came out with Metal Gear Solid (PSOne, black label) and Goldeneye007 (N64) for $11.

Man I wish I would have gotten that game on the GC as it was a GC game to begin with. Oh well, it's too late for me get the game now as it's selling at high price.
I played the Cube version first, and Link is always supposed to be a lefty! [/bias]
But seriously, yeah, if you can get past the "double dip" issue (I had no problems with it, but then again I'm one to talk) it's definitely worth playing for the "easier" controls. (Says the person who has only played 5-6 hours of the Wii version after playing the Cube version)
Sorry, I'm not much help.
