Curious about the progress of the Wii version I stumbled upon a short preview of the game over at IGN. It definitely sounds like it's going in the right direction, and I'm pretty sure Firebrand will do the game more than justice looking at how able the team has handled other games on the DS, including its own version of Trackmania there. Hopefully the online experience will be robust enough. It's currently slated for a late July release.
In any case, I'm very much looking forward to it. Four player split-screen multi is definitely a first for the series, and I imagine that could be a lot of fun. I'm definitely going to pick this one up on release. It'll also comes with a lower price tag of $40, judging from the info from various online retailers.

Pftt, had it months ago . I really like the game. It has lots of content and polish and it completely embarrasses the poor efforts from other, bigger developers and publishers on the Wii.
