i dont know why everyone thinks toadman is so flawed. Heatman had the exact same problem

You could also get Elecman, among other Robot Masters, to slip into a pattern in which they just sit there and get damaged without being able to attack.

But Toad Man's pattern-of-idiocy is by far the simplest of them, just because it pretty much happens by default. If you shoot Toad Man, he can't attack. And of course the first thing you do is shoot him. So, unless for some reason you decide to start practicing pacifism the moment you step into his boss room, you've automatically got him in his flawed, helpless pattern.

At least with Heatman you need to figure it out first. And it's a LOT easier to accidentally take damage from Heat Man because you weren't paying attention. If you accidentally take damage from Toad Man, some serious embarrassment sets in.

Protip: There is an easy way to beat Toadman, but not many people know about it. The trick is using the second-player controller! See, when you first go into the room you need to not shoot at all with Mega Man - instead just run into the middle of the room. Once you get there, grab the second controller, hold it against your belly, and start to do the Mega Rain Dance. Shake your hips for all you are worth, swing them back and forth, and (if you dance hard enough) a Mega Tornado will come down and suck Toad Man off the top of the screen for an instant win.

You really have to get your groove on to outdance Toad Man, but it's totally worth it because winning with the Mega Tornado move will earn you an extra bonus -- in any level afterwards you can release the storm by repeating the same move, and hundreds of toads will fall from the sky to obliterate any enemies on screen in one hit!

Anyway, since some of you noobs didn't seem to know about this classic Mega Man trick, thought it was only fair to share. Next time I'll tell you about Ring Man's secret weakness. (Hint: The character design was created at a Tim Horton's during a visit to Capcom main office in Canada, all those years ago.)
