I wouldn't count on seeing too many 3rd party N64 games until Nintendo implements Controller Pak support for the VC, if they opt to. There weren't too many 3rd party games with on-cart saving, particularly from those companies that are actively supporting the VC. Here's a realistic potential list, only taking into account games from companies that are currently supporting the VC:
Bomberman 64 Bomberman 64: The Second Attack Bomberman Hero Chameleon Twist Cruis'n Exotica (co-published by Nintendo) Cruis'n World (co-published by Nintendo) Earthworm Jim 3D Harvest Moon 64 Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine Megaman 64 Mischief Makers Ogre Battle 64 Resident Evil 2 (over the 40 MB size limit if not compressed) Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth Star Wars Episode 1: Battle for Naboo Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Star Wars: Rogue Squadron Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
What with Ogre Battle 64 being published by Square Enix, the first N64 game on the VC not to be published by Nintendo (although there have been a few third party developed N64 games released), maybe this will finally allow other publishers getting their N64 games on the VC. Or maybe not.
Well that was insightful
Just kidding, I really do hope 3rd parties start supporting the N64 VC--there must be a ton of red tape for them to get through, otherwise it seems like a no-brainer.

But Star Soldier wouldn't be the Japanese version. (might have been just me, but I remember playing ROMs to sample the game, and the Japanese version seemed to be more generous with the power-ups. And as we all know, more power-ups = more firepower = more stuff exploding = more fun. )
My List: Clayfighter 63 & a 1/3, Glover, Chameleon Twist 1 & 2, Cruis'n World, Doom 64, The Gex games, Goemon's Great Adventure, Iggy's Reckin Balls, Megaman 64, Micro Machines 64 Turbo, Mischief Makers, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Pilotwings 64, Rayman 2 The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble.

Bomberman 64 was a solid platformer. it was no bomberman game, but it was good on its own. i don't remember who made it, but i'd be interested in seeing Glover, too. i had friends who liked the game, but i never had a chance to play it...
