This looks like they wanted to make some kind of video game about the Smurfs, but since the Smurfs aren't interesting enough to make a good game, they just pushed this out in a desperate last-ditch effort.

Well, it is definitely not something that I would ever buy. I expect the majority of this game's sales will be parents buying it for their kids. It is an obvious cash-in on the upcoming Smurfs movie. Just Dance makes Ubisoft lots of money so seeing them slap some Smurfs on one of their best selling franchises doesn't surprise me in the least.
The worst part is, parents actually buy this stuff, because they see a franchise they know because they had to see it when they took their kids to the movies to watch it. Parents: "Ooh, the Smurfs! I saw this with [insert child's name here]! I know this will be appropriate and [insert child's name here] will love it! After all, [he/she] loved the movie!"
Same thing happened some years ago when my parent's got me Robots for the DS. Sure, the movie was nice, but the game, as expected, was utter trash.
Anyhow ... i could only see myself getting this for really really cheap if the Smurfs sing themselves. For the sheer enjoyment of absolute over the top trash.
