Racers' Islands - Crazy Racers, Gods vs Humans and Racers' Islands - Crazy Arenas have all been removed as Zallag closed its doors in May, sadly. Zallag closes (in French).
As for Magic Obelisk, I've reached out to Game Arts to see if they can tell me anything.
If this is really because these studios are closing, Nintendolife should run a story on this with regards to the dangers of digital ownership. Imagine if every time a retail developer went down you'd lose your disks/cartridges... bye bye Little King's Story, Another Code, Last Window, etc. This should never be allowed to happen, especially with developers in this industry going out of business every other day.
Now I feel bad about not purchasing the magic obelisk sooner...
re:n0body Developers do go down. It means no new copies of that game are made. The difference is its far easier to exchange a license with other people (i.e. give the disc to them) and also there will be likely be some surplus of copies made vs sold which isn't true for digital (as amount bought=amount sold).
I'm wondering if GameArts has found a flaw in Nintendo's contract to sort out the payment issues (that is Nintendo only pays you after hitting the sale threshold and if you don't hit it within 2 years you never get paid) or did something else which made Nintendo withdraw the game. Its a good idea to also contact Nintendo about it as GameArts are not giving any answers.
I don't see why are people complaining about WiiWare titles disappearing? When they never payed them enough attention to download them in the first place. That's why WiiWare has done so poorly, no one is paying enough attention to it. Personally I can't seriously blame Nintendo for pulling titles that aren't being sold, even retail titles end up in the clearance bin at Toys R' Us. lol (<:

@James, Thanks for the link to the Zallag article. It makes me said that Nintendo can force Developers to go down by not paying them until they meet the sale threshold.
I personally thought the tower game was the best of there three offerings but it was prices to high in comparison to the superior My life as a Dark Lord.
It also sounded like Zallag had better luck with Sony. I think after reading that article I might skip the Wii U and get the next Sony PlayStation to support other independent developers.
Yeah it is sad @Mallouff, but that's the economy these days and this is business. @Mallouff what makes think Nintendo can afford to chalk any losses. I'm sure Zallag was already paid some type of base value on the product and every other sale above the threshold would've been like commission for creating a valuable product. No need to point fingers at Nintendo. (<:

At least those retail titles aren't disappearing completely.
Hey, maybe our Wiis will be worth a lot of money in the future, because they'll contain WiiWare that can't be purchased any longer. And the lower the sales the title received the more rare it'll be $$$$$. (<:
@WiiAboutYou: Yea, well at least there's a chance of getting THOSE games at yardsale, online and such. At least you can get these games one way or another still, after they're gone from retail.

The only problem is most of the WiiWare that can no longer be purchased isn't very good, so they probably won't be in as high demand as, say, Mega Man 9 and World of Goo would (if they were system exclusives of course).
The Zallag games are still on the North American Wii shop . I just checked. Lonpos is missing. Its a shame I should have downloaded that game long ago.
Bad news guys I actually got e-mailed back by Game Arts in regards to The Magic Obilisk and got some gut wrenching info "In regards to your question regarding The Magic Obilisk,we removed the game from the wiiware service and are sorry for any inconveniences this may cause" unfortunately no info was given about why they did this, but it's indeed gone for good
Man, this really sucks. Before I was just thinking I would purchase it eventually but now that its gone forever I want it right now!!!!! I guess its true that we want what we can't have...
