Don't you love how the media works? Apparently the Wii is doomed because of the bit in the circle. Clearly these people are wrong so please, no more talk about how the Wii is doomed or how the PS3/360 are just waiting to claim its throne. It isn't and they won't. Its almost as annoying at the people who like to brand the 360 and PS3 as "next gen consoles". They aren't, they are current gen consoles and so is the Wii. People need to stand back and see the bigger picture here.
Yeah, I remember, that was so annoying. The entire media was like, "OH NOEZ, the Wii IS DEAD WHAT IS NINTENDO GOING TO DO???" It was only for 2 or 3 weeks.
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
Yeah, it was a crock. Wii is still according to this holiday season's sales the #1 selling console. I agree, Nintendo will win this generation. Just crank out more good games for the gamers Nintendo!
Unfortunately this kind of nonsense plagues all news now, and particularly when it's on the web (hunting for clicks) or cable (trying to grab viewers around the clock). Any number or easily misleading fact will be used as fodder for inflammatory articles in order to draw attention, and the gaming world, being driven by blogs, is as bad or worse on this than just about any news topic.
It's one reason why the loss of newspapers as the trusted source--and well-known gaming publications in parallel--means a transformation of the information you receive for the worst in many cases. Sure, opening it up can be more democratic in some ways and even break lesser stories, but no one should ignore the huge problems information integrity faces now as a result.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -
I hate it when people say "get a real console, don't play with that toy". I have an xbox 360, but I only got it after I got the wii, and I heard things like that. Since when are consoles not "toys". If your playing with them, and having fun with them, they're basically "toys". These "hardcore" gamers need to stop seeing the gaming world as FPSs and online multiplayer.
it was basically a screen cap of this with a circle around those few weeks the Wii was outsold by the 360 and PS3 in North America.
Even today I saw several articles talking about the doomed Wii. One was quoting last "thanksgiving sales" and saying that the Wii underperformed compared to last year. This year it only just doubled the competition instead of doubling it and a half.
