Well, Brawl's online is good by my standards, MKWii's is fantastic (shame the game itself isn't very fun), and Boom Blox: Bash Party, Excitebots, and a few others have acceptable online. I was merely saying it seems that some have a lot of lag playing games like Brawl online, and it's not totally there fault, so they have good reason to be wary of this game's online.

Perhaps, but the lag can firmly be placed at the feet of those who produced the game and host the servers, no? I'll be interested in seeing how Capcom handles this game ... and I'll have a front row seat.

Well, some of us were born before the internet (and consequently Youtube), so the only things we had access to were those titles imported to the US. Which means I grew up watching BotP and G-Force.
Oh, and some of us don't speak Japanese either.

I've got the money set aside roll on Jan 29th (uk release), played the original to death and its one of my fave games, with all the additions its a no-brainer!

I played enough fighting games in 1992 and I've got Neo Geo Arcade Classics if I want any more. It is very pretty, but it's not a genre I'm really thrilled with. If it was a side-scrolling beat-em-up, I'd be all over it.

You growing up with a bad dub of the series isn't really any reason why he should watch it. He's not going to share any of the nostalgia you have for them, so since there's a good version of the series available, why shouldn't he watch that?
Battle of the Planets is one of my all time favourite cartoons, so I do have some interest in this. But... I got bored of beat 'em ups a few years back (post Soul Caliber 2), therefore won't be in any rush to pick this up. I might grab it when I see it pre-owned for a tenner, perhaps.
I'm really looking forward to the game even though I have little knowledge of the Tatsunoko series. I learned a long time ago to anticipate titles based on the quality of the games franchise (Marvel vs.) rather than the franchise that they are licensed to. It's the gameplay that counts most.
If you have Amazon Prime (or the free three month Amazon Prime trial), you can get Release Date Delivery for TvC for free. This, in addition to the $10 video game credit, makes Amazon pretty tough to beat if you're planning on picking TvC up.
