This game is awesome. I've been playing Arcade for a while (I just unlocked Tekkaman Blade) and lost an online match by about two strikes. A little laggy but nothing unbearable and certainly better than SSBB's sad excuse for online.
I am loving this game... I just looked up at the clock and can't believe I've been playing it for two hours already. Good stuff!
The first time I tried to fight the boss, I got stomped pretty badly. But on my 2nd through 5th playthroughs, he's gone down without much of a fight.
So far, I've enjoyed playing Tekkaman and Jun the Swan the most.
Yea the first time is pretty harsh lol i didnt wana beat him the cheap ole projectile way but i did lol and i love jun the swan thats a must on my team i dont know why but i always run to her when im tryna destroy ah foe fosho

Well, Damo's review has turned it around for me (£17.95 in some spam from Zavvi helped too) so I've got my order in. I'm not terribly fussed with online or actually doing well. I view this like an arcade game, something I can pick up for the odd go which is nice instead of something I feel I have to "beat." Back in the day I did pride myself on beating SFII blahdiblah Fighting for Mega Drive with every single character, but I don't expect that to be the case here. Hell I couldn't beat the final boss in King of Fighters '94 and had to use continues just to reach him!
Hopefully the simplified three button system will be more forgiving for old farts like me!

TvC has a very easy arcade mode, yes. It got souped up a bit for All-Stars (though the final boss was made easier for some reason, despite being a joke in Cross Generations)
(oh, and KoF94 was HARD, and the final boss more or less impossible to fight fairly against. There are a couple mega-cheap tricks that kill him every now and then unless he decides to not let them work, but he was absolutely intended to eat wallets at the arcade. Not being able to beat it is no shame)
The worst match by far was against the Lost Planet mech thing, it trapped me a in a corner and did a move over and over again, and I couldn't get out of it. Laaaaaame!
I hate that guy! He threw me in a corner and then kept throwing me, I wasn't able to defend or do an assist because he kept doing it over and over. Whats the point? I wish there was an Ignore or Block function because I had to fight him twice.

Sean: On one star difficulty, getting past the boss wasn't all that difficult. Only problem with that was that most of the matchup's prior to the boss (with the exception of one) were simply too easy. Moved up to two star difficulty and had the same issue with the other matchup's (once again, too easy) but then couldn't beat the boss my first go at it (got 66% of the way through and then couldn't pull it out). I'm finding out that at that stage, it's all about the Hyper Combo's ... and I'm just not entirely proficient with them yet.
Hate to admit it but ... if they make a controller which you can program to execute moves ... I'M BUYING IT!

The moves list is way easier and flashier than SF4. The hyper combos are easy to pull off, you just need to have enough "Levels" (up to 5, Hyper Combos usually use 3 levels). You should go into Training Mode to practice. I did that for a while and then I was significantly better.
My only complaint is that the fighters seem unbalanced. The big cigarette lighter just stomps on me and I die.
