Alright, even IGN says the Wii version is better, and they really like the multiplayer mode..

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.

Well I got this game for my son for Christmas since hes a huge Star Wars fan. I have to say control wise I was disappointed that they changed the lightsaber attack to a single button control rather than motion, but since you now use dual lightsabers I can kinda see why they did it that way. Still this game is fun but I think I liked the first one a bit better anyone else playing (played) the Wii version of this game?

I got it for Christmas, but I haven't tried it yet.

I was also disappointed when I heard about the lightsaber attack change. The dual sabers did screw things up, but they also decided on changing it due to some complaints from some short-sighted players and reviewers. Some people don't understand that swinging the Wiimote a lot is a good thing when the corresponding action is so much fun. Now we need to complain to them about these nerfed controls to try and get them to go back to the better original method.

Hopefully, when they make the Force Unleashed 3 (judging from the very unresolved ending in the novel), they'll give Wii users the option of using a single lightsaber controlled by the Wiimote with Wii MotionPlus, and the greatest dream of all Star Wars video game fans will finally be fulfilled.

I didnt realized that people complained about the controls of the first Force Unleashed, personally I thought they were perfect for the game. I figured they changed it cause of the dual lightsabers since the only way I can see that happening is use the wiimote for one and the nunchuk for the other but where would that leave force powers? I cant imagine what bad things a person can possibly say about the controls of the Force Unleashed.

There are always complaints when a Wii game has "too much waggle" (in this case, swinging the Wiimote as a lightsaber during a lot of the combat) such as being dull, repetative, and tiring, no matter how exciting and intuitive it actually makes the game's controls. Therefore, they decided to limit the lightsaber "waggle" to combo finishers (or something like that) in this sequel. The dual sabers certainly didn't help and may have been a contributing reason, but it wasn't the main reason they nerfed the lightsaber controls.

I plan on getting this game eventually. I liked the first one pretty well. I'm also a huge Star wars nut so I can forgive some of the bad things about it. I'm sorta glad they changed the controls. The first one did make my arms tired. It's cool that the Wii version is getting better reviews than PS3 and Xbox. Just goes to show you that better graphics doesn't mean better game. I'll probably pick it up as soon as I find it cheap somewhere. I'm not spending 50 bucks on a six hour game.

Yeah lucky for me I bought this game along with two others when Target had their "Buy 2 games and get a 3rd game free sale" Still its a good game I am just ticked that they changed the controls.

No, it goes to show that the devs who made the PC/360/PS3 versions didn't put as much effort toward making a good game as the Wii version devs. Graphics are irrelevant.

Don't forget, the Wii version of the first game is better, too (much superior control scheme, extra Jedi Temple levels that the other versions only got later as DLC, awesome Cloud City level that the other versions never got, the Star Destroyer was pulled down in a cutscene instead of an extremely frustrating gameplay event, pretty good (although a little too basic) exclusive duel mode).
