From the Game Informer article on Krome closing:

"...though there some said that the studio was reeling from the effects of losing development rights on the Wii port of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II."
http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/10/15/krome-studi...

In other words, Krome didn't handle the Wii version of TFU2. So don't worry about Force Unleashed II on Wii. But always unfortunate when a developer has to close its doors.

Red Fly is the making the Wii Version of SWTFU:2. They also made the Wii, PSP, and PS2 Versions of Ghostbusters: The Video Game and Mushroom Men. Here's the only videos I can find of the Wii version.

Highlights:
A button is used for basic attacks now, Motion controls reserved for special attacks.
Pointer can be used to select targets for force powers.
Wii version has two unique force powers.:
-Force Rage which gives you a few seconds to highlight as many enemies as you can before Starkiller one hit kills them in a fairly dramatic manner.
-Force Sight: Alternate vision mode that is suppose to highlight enemy weaknesses, looks similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum's Detective mode.
Multiplier is a 2D Smash Bros style fighting game for up to 4 players.

Wow, that's sounding and looking much better than the first game. As long as the cutscenes aren't as bad anymore, I'll be interested in getting this

I've now read the novelization, and I'm pretty sure they're going to make a Force Unleashed III game, because they left open a LOT of loose threads in the story. Hopefully TFU3 will finally be the WM+ lightsaber game that we've all been waiting for.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I played the demo on 360, and definitely looking forward to it. Of course, i'm a Star Wars fanboy, so i was looking forward to it anyway, even if it sucked. =)

I have the novel, but i'm going to do it like i did with the last game -- game playthrough first, then read the novel.

Looks like the same game to me. I'll pass.

Just for you.

I think it looks good but those stormtroopers were like tanks- I wish you could just cut people in half like in No More Heroes.

...in my pants.

I really enjoyed the first one so I will probably pick this one up as well. The first one is one of the rare games that I think that the Wii version was better over the Xbox and PS3 version. Plus I also really liked the motion control that the Wii offered. Nothing was more satisfying than playing as Vader in the first level for the first time and twisting the Wii remote like you were force choking an enemy and than seeing it happen on the screen.

Isn't there going to be dismemberment in this one? I thought that was a confirmed feature, but maybe not.

Beep.
That is all.

From playing the demo, yes, yes there most certainly is. Noticed it first when i sliced off a stormtroopers left arm, then another swing sliced his head off as his body slowly collapsed to the ground. Sweet. =)

I agree. That's why I was disappointed when I heard they switched lightsaber swinging to a button press in this one.

They changed it to a button. I hope they have an option that you can change the lightsaber swing to actually motion controllers. If thats the case than I just might rent the Wii version and see if its a button masher or the gameplay is like the first one. If thats the case than whats the sense of getting the Wii one over the 360 version if you have both systems.

Apparently, they had complaints that the lightsaber swinging in the Wii version of the first game was too much "waggle" that made playing the game too tiring. Personally, I don't see the problem with a lot of Wiimote swinging when it corresponds to something as fun as taking out enemies with a lightsaber.

However, all is not lost. There will still be motion controlled Force abilities like Force Lightning, and the Wii version of FU2 also contains an exclusive Smash Bros. inspired multiplayer mode.

Personally I could care less about the multiplayer mode truthfully I dont like the Smash Bros games. So let me get this right you use the motion controls for force abilities but you press a button for the lightsaber? LAME. I hope they have an option built in where you can change that button pressing to motion control.

I was glad to see Gamespot do a video review of the Wii version. They said the Wii had the definitive version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, and that it's loads of fun.

...in my pants.

RetroRich

I got this delivered on release day having played and enjoyed the first game.

The game is good, and fun, but way too short. On the standard difficulty level I completed the game with 94% of the collectibles within 8 hours, and that includes doing some levels twice to get all the items. Still got one missing though (hence the 94%). Might play through it again, but not for a while.
Overall, the first one is better in my opinion.

What about the multiplayer mode?

Gamespot said the multiplayer mode was a Super Smash Bros. clone that was lacking in game balance and character animation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Force Unleashed 3 to use Wii Motion Plus and feature online deathmatches similar to Jedi Academy or Outcast.

Yes, I read the review. My quote should have indicted that I was seeking RetroRich's opinion on the feature.
