Topic: Sonic on Virtual Console VS Sonic Mega Collection

As a PAL gamer, Mega Collection without question. I have the Hori 'SNES' pad for the gamecube which is great.

Annoying I cant play my Japanese version of Gems Collection on Wii as has the Bare Knuckle trilogy on the disc, removed from the US, EU versions.

I'll be picking up the DS game for sure though - Sonic on the go!

I'd pick virtual console 1 It's built in, 2 You don't have to buy the worthless ones like that Dr. Robotnic puzzle game, and If you get Sonic and Nuckles and another VC sonic game you get lock on mode (That Red Egg Laying Mammal is my favorite out of them all

Even without getting Mean Bean Machine and 3D Blast on VC, Mega Collection is still a lot cheaper, and the lock-on games are included in Mega Collection.

By the way, Knuckles is a male echidna making egg laying impossible for him. Tikal was capable of laying eggs, though.

The VC has the suspend play feature, and the games start up way faster. Mega Collection does have some nice features though.

VC, simply for the controls. The suspend play feature is also nice.

Presumably you arn't referring to the PAL VC version which only "fills the screen" with ugly black borders.

I have the Sonic Collection and Sega MegaDrive Collection for PS2 and really happy with it. Using a PS2 controller works well in most games, I can play the games at 60Hz if I want and it is much cheaper, so there is more points for other games on the VC
