Hey, I just bought these game, and just have played the level 0 (cool, the first level is the level 0) But I just find these is one of the most awesome games of all times, it is really a shooter experience, or we can say that htese is "the shooter experience'', it is a really awesome game, beign you a fan or shooters or not, I love the Wi-Fi highscore tables, and I find that im the number 1099 in North America!!! YAY!!! Im really close to be the best!!!
Well I just wanna say that is a game I really recommend, it is a real shooter, it you can't equip weapons, you can't choose your road, you can't go back, it is a REAL SHOOTER. So I found the game really really amazing, I will later post my ''exelent" () highscore here, how do you find the game, what your highscore, do you got any question about the game?
These is a thread about Sin and Punishment 2: Star Succesor, enjoy it
I've been considering getting this game for a while, but since I just recently bought Monster Hunter Tri and soon am going to get Metroid: Other M, I don't think I'll have the money for this one just yet. Oh well, my birthday is coming up in November, so maybe I will ask for this game.

You should give it a try, it is a really good game, it got modes in easy, normal and hard, and you can play in multiplayer (ok the 2nd player almost do nothing) but well, the Wi-Fi high score tables are just great, try to beat my score being the 1099 place in NA
I don't like this game at all. It made me realize how much I dislike on-rails games. Don't get me wrong, fans of the genre will love it, but for me the story and gameplay is a bit ridiculous.
i also think it's one of the best games ever made, albeit in it's own very specific genre. i've never been so simultaneously frustrated by and addicted to anything before; nearly two months later and i'm still playing it daily. i actually threw my wiimote down and broke some pieces off after a string of failed scores, but the thing still works and it didn't stop me from playing.
it's fun the first time you play, but the extreme difficulty makes it too tough to really enjoy early on. it's once you've beaten it, memorized everything and gotten a few decent scores that the game really starts up. it's got such unbelievably good replay value that it can go on forever; it's up to you to decide when you're satisfied with a score and can move on.

I hate on-rails games, too, but I absolutely adore S&P2. I don't know what it is, but something about it has made me fall in love with this game even though I don't like its genre. After I play the Sin and Punishment games, it makes me wonder what the appeal is for Star Fox.

Well when I bought these game I say, hey lets give it a try, I have never imagined how good can it be, it is really really awesome, I have never liked clasic shooters like space invaders, but these game is the best shooting game of all time, you can shoot, you move, you skip, you make super attacks, and you can do even mellee attacks to give the monster a little bit of they own pill. Oh well really great game, here is the wep page if anyone interesed: http://sinandpunishment.com/
The only bad thing is the multiplayer, the 2nd player can't do almost nothing!!! no melee attacks, no special attacks, oh well, but anyways the game is really a great shooter game!!!
yeah, 2nd player should at least have the ability to charge up. i think a bigger complaint is that with the lack of a 3D screen it can be super hard to gauge depth when hitting certain objects back; they could have made the distance of some projectiles a little clearer. most of the time hitting things back feels really good though
I'm so buying this! But I'm alittle low on cash at the moment. Argh!
Oh dude, these is one of the greatest games, I really really recommend it, for anyone, its a different game, but these games are really the good games.
To many other games and not enough time to play this. Rental at best for me with metroid donkey Kong country goldeneye golden sun etrain odyssey Zelda Luria and final fantasy just don't have the money either.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I played it a couple days ago and haven't quite got into it yet but I will. As far as rail shooters I really like REZ for the Dreamcast and I'm not sure I could like Sin and Punishment 2 more.
Is there a name for each sub-genre of rail shooters because there's the type like RE: Umbrella Chronicles/HOTD Overkill where all you do is aim and then there's the aim + movement of Sin and Punishment/Rez/Starfox.
Though not my favorite genre I like rail shooters. I usually feel many of them aren't worth the full game price but I like them for the pure arcade style skill involved. For me they are also the type of game I like to play over to try and improve my accuracy & score.
How about an entire sub-genre dedicated to the Time Crisis series (aim + take cover)?
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Well I prefer to call games like Starfox 3D shoot 'em ups because your not really on a rail but a path. Where you have complete freedom of movement but your essentually heading towards a set destination.
As for Sin & Punishment, I really enjoyed the original but I don't think i'll pick up the sequal until the price goes down a bit. I still need to beat the first game anyways.
Only thing I would have asked for is a two-player mode where the second player can take control of a character, but it's at least a step-up from the first game.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
