I have 60 bucks to spend and I'm thinking of getting Animal Crossing City Folk, since i found it in JB Hi-Fi for $39 AUD. I haven't played an Animal Crossing game before, but they look pretty interesting, in a chilled-out relaxing game-way, i guess (well that's what I've heard about them anyway).
Buy it! But don't get too involved (like that's possible). I had to trade it in to stop me playing too much. When I came home for lunch, with only twenty minutes to spare, I'd check my turnip prices and water my flowers and send letters, all while juggling a sandwich. And the evenings were just fishathons and hours lost making t-shirts. After a few months I had to break away. Wii-speak with your friends is awesome btw, and the cross pollination stuff between towns is great. And you can take photo's of yourself looking cool (or a visitor falling over, ha, I still have that photo). sighs I miss going to Dewdrop.
Nintendo send you presents every now and then as well, bless 'em.
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Thanks for the comments, guys and girls I'm still 50/50 on it, having roughly half of you saying i should and shouldn't get it, then again $39 for a Wii game is pretty good.
I've enjoyed it. The Wii version was my first too. My favorite long-term activity is "breeding" flowers to get different colors. I like laying the flowers out in different color patterns around every house in town. Looks cheerful. So much easier than doing that stuff in real life, too.
Me and my girlfriend played the gamecube one to death and also the DS one so I've not bothered to pick up the Wii version as it sounds very similar to the previous titles but if it's your first time I'd definitely buy it,they are very unique games and a lot of fun though they can,as others have stated, become very addictive as the game carry's on while your not playing so you find yourself constantly checking up on your village and it's residents (weeds arrggghh ).It also has a funny sense of humour in a very gentle way. The wii speak feature sounds like a great feature too. Go for it
I bought this game on Friday, it was on sale for $32 with Wii Speak! I think it is a really fun addicting game. I'd definitely recommend.
My only complaint is that the game follows your system clock, and since I only play videogames at night, the stores are only open for a few hours (until 10 and 11).
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
