Just did a Nintendo Channel-Update. It said something about 3ds info blah. But i could'nt see anything in the channel itself. Maybe it will be unlocked on release date.
thats weird. I just went on and there was no update for me.
hmmm...that's really strange. i even got a message to the wii (yay, blue light still working!!) that there is an update for the nintendo channel. i'm in germany if that helps. but as i said, i really took the channel under the microscope and couldn't see any difference at all. may it's all under the hood and we will see more in the future. who knows?
Im in America, and the Euro launch of the 3DS is sooner, so maybe the update hit sooner for you guys. More than likely if there is no visible difference, it is a prime for a launch of something later on. (making it ready to download another update that is only a few mb's and launch with a ton of new features)

true that. but it's just a few days. and i wonder what it could be. in my mind everything internet/3DS-Download related stuff was going only to be 3DS direct (demos/videos/add on/etc.). one can just wonder.
sounds interesting to me. could just be compatibility to rate your 3ds games on the nintendo channel or simply putting the new console on the nintendo channel for keeping your favorites list, or all that kind of jazz. Hopefully it's something even cooler than that though.

Yeah I got it (in UK) but I've not bothered to update it. It's probably for 3DS demos like with the DS ones you can download from your Wii - my guess anyway.
(In the UK) It has changed the category "Non-gamers" in the recommendations section is changed to read as "General Public", and the channel also confirms that you want to receive messages from Nintendo before first use (even if you have existing Nintendo Channel save data). There seem to be minor changes to the icons used in the channel and are probaly other changes under-the-hood (bugfixes, performance enhancements). The old Nintendo Channel would not run without updating, it opened the Wii Shop Channel for an update. It could have something to do with the 3DS.
