OK, so I'm super lucky since I got my copy a day earlier than the European release date, I would review the game, but I haven't played everything yet and only played a few hours of it. So I'm going to give my "Hands-On" experience with the game.

Ok, pop the disc in and urgh.... a 5 minute demo of how to install the motion plus, which is un-skipable! geez... You'd think that Nintendo realised that people may have bought Tiger Woods and/or GrandSlam? Anyway, 5 minutes of time that I have lost and will never get back, you're given an awesome introduction where you sky dive in the game for a few minutes before you lift out your parachute and see the "Wii Sports Resort" title on the top of the parachute, now that's what I call an intro to a game!

Now off to the main game! I started off not playing Sword Fighting, instead I tried Frisbee™ Games, yes Frisbee™ with a ™ since it's actually trade marked and Nintendo had to get themselves right to name, then again we're talking about the "new" Nintendo, they can probably buy anything now, lol. I needed to get adjusted to the controls a bit, but luckily each time you start a game anew, you get a tutorial on how to play the game, which was well needed since I was doing really bad at it! But I started to get the hang of it, and earned my first two stamps, one for actually playing Frisbee™ Games for the first time, and one for making the dog jump to catch the Frisbee™.

Next I went to Sword Fighting™, lol I'm annoying you guys with the trade marks, lol, I'm kidding there's no Trade mark to Sword Fighting! You start off with your basic 1 to 1 fighting, which felt good, but not quite what I was expecting, for those who want REAL 1:1 controls, you won't get it, instead what you get in controlled tilt because you use the A button to stand into defensive stance, and release it to go back into offensive stance, then go crazy knocking your opponent until he falls off the podium Gladiator style! After that you unlock Speed Slicing, which is still Sword play, but you go head to head in cutting stuff! A ref throws an item, be it a cake or an oversized melon, and cut it with you sword in the direction given to you before your opponent does. Great fun, especially in 2 player mode. After that you unlock Showdown mode, this is where the FUN REALLY STARTS, think of it like the one on one game, except it's one against a whole load of enemies! You run down a set path, kinda like a rail shooter, but you have people chasing after you to hit you with their sword, you beat them down, and go to the next guy, some people wear added armour that means you have to hit them multiple times. Eventually you'll duke it out with the boss who pretty good with his/her defence, time it right and you win, an awesome experience, if only it was two player co-op though, it would be even better!

Next I tried Archery, when I thought sword Fighting was cool, this is even cooler! The controls to this are a little weird at first because you have to hold the Wii remote and Nunchuk the other way round. If you're right handed, you place the remote in your left hand, and nunchuk in you right, vice-versa for lefties. The nunchuk is your string, and you pull it back whilst holding the Z trigger to pull the string back, aiming is done by moving the remote, and releasing the string is by releasing the Z trigger. Playing this after a while makes me think that this might be the way we'll be shooting arrows in the next Zelda game!

Then I tried Table Tennis, I was pretty impressed with this since I got used to the controls pretty much instantly. I used to play Table tennis quite a bit back in the day, and this brought me back... I loved how it plays just like the real game, rotating your wrist to return shots and twisting your wrist in order to change the height, position and spin on the ball, I was quite pleased indeed with this game.

Finally I tried out cycling to see how bad it is... Nintendo, my hands are not my feet... that's all I have to say...

So far, I pretty much like it, and yes Cycling is as bad as people say it is, but it's so worth buying, it's a shame that they're not selling it without Motion plus, then again for a game that requires the thing, I can imagine why. I'll make a full review soon after I have done everything that this games offers, but from what I'm played, it's a great game!

Nintendo actually refers to it as Frisbee? I thought they just called them disc sports. Frisbee is a trademark of the Frisbee company. Like Hacky Sack (foot bag), many assume that the common name is a generic name, but it's actually branded.

I couldn't tell if you were saying Nintendo copyrighted the name themselves or what, so I just wanted to throw in that tidbit of trivia if anyone didn't know.

Glad you enjoyed it. Sunday can't come soon enough.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

Wait, so you like Cycling even though it sucks? OK, that makes sense.

Huh? when did I say I liked it?

Outrunner

I like the cycling. What's so bad about it?
