Sorry but there's no way Nintendo is going to be putting out a new system anytime soon. Can't we just enjoy the Wii and play the new 3DS. The Wii is still selling 7 million units a year according to Reggie. There's no need for a new system yet. If people are in that big of a hurry to advance to the next gen then go invent a time machine and buy a PS5. reporting on Rumours is pointless.

I don't think a new Nintendo console will come out until either holiday season 2012 or Spring 2013. The stretch of time will probably be similar to the amount in between the DS (Nov. 2004 for NA) and the Wii (Nov. 2006 for NA)
I sure hope these rumors are fake. I don't want something too similar to the Wii, I want something fresh. The Wii is great, but now we're used to it, so it calls for another revolution in the industry. So I hope "Wii 2" or especially "Wii HD" never come to be.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it announced at E3, though that wouldn't necessarily mean it's coming out this year (maybe Spring 2012 - don't want to announce it too early and lose Wii sales prematurely).
Afterall, there AREN'T all that many big name games that we know about coming out anymore (Skyward Sword and maybe Last Story are the only things that come to mind). That would lead one to believe that they may be shifting their focus to the next console. It'd be nice, honestly, to have a new one released, seeing as despite all the shop and online upgrades the 3DS is getting, we're not really seeing much done to update the Wii. If the focus is getting the newest console ready, that would make sense. Hopefully we'll see some pretty intense connectivity between the Wii2 and the 3DS!

I'd rather not for now. 3DS is just now coming out, and I doubt I'll be able to get enough money for this as fast as I did for 3DS. (B-day, Christmas, ect.)
