Topic: RUMOR: First screenshots of Project Café games

Take this with a bucket-full of salt.

To me, the environment and 'characters' within look inconsistent. Then again, it's blurry and hard to tell. Emily Rogers, the one who posted this says that this comes from a reliable source but do not take it as a confirmation or something as 'real'. She mentions that a video will be put up soon.

I do believe these games would best showcase the power of Project Café because of their environments.

Well those do look nice but regardless, I pray these aren't true! Because if they ARE true, that means the rumor that Pikmin 3 jumped to Cafe is also true. And if Pikmin 3 jumps to the next console, that will tack on another year of waiting for it that wouldn't have to have been suffered if it came for Wii! I've waited long enough!!!!!

That's amazing! Based on those pictures, it's looking as if Nintendos upcoming Wii successor will definitely surpass the PS3 and Xbox360 in terms of Graphics, hopefully the gameplay is up to par with those awesome graphics though... The Endless Ocean screenshot looks beautiful, almost looks like a picture!~

Hey, I've waited 5-6 years for Kirby's Adventure to come out and it's been moved from the Gamecube to Wii and delayed and disappeared for a long time- then earlier this year, resurfaced. I've been suffering from that wait lol

But I do know where you're coming from. Pikmin 3 has been in development for some time now but I do think it would benefit from the move from Wii to Project Café. The environments would really benefit.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather wait 10 years for an awe-inspiring, genre defining game that truly shows off a system's capabilities than wait 5 years for a great game. There are already tons of "great" games available for pretty much any system, and two Pikmin games to replay. I'd rather developers take their time, it's not like there's no other good games to play.

If Pikmin 3 could utilize the supposed screen on the controller in a meaningful way, I'd rather wait. The downside is that with all this waiting, it might not live up to the expectations of gamers.

There's still a chance that those pictures are real...you never know for sure...
But now that you mention it, it does look as if it was photoshopped...

Thanks, I love Has bean too, but sadly, Sega changed his name...Now he's called "Carbuncle" Which I think is a poor character name because a Carbuncle is a baterial skin infection. lol

We'll have to wait for that 'video' Emily Rogers is talking about and see for ourselves.

I can't see Pikmin 3 coming to Wii at this point. Maybe a year ago, but now I'd bet it has long been moved to the new console. Now as for the reality of those screenshots, who knows. We'll know soon enough.

@komicturtle: I here ya man. That Kirby gae has been in limbo fro-freaking ever! It seems like that wait may finally be coming to an end soon though....hopefully.

@Scypher: I know what you mean and I'm sure i'll be very appreciative of the extra time in the oven but that doesn't take away the pain of waiting. Maybe if we could be thrown a bone and shown SOMETHING about it it would make it slightly less painful. I fully expect the Pikmin 3 flood this e3.....and if I don't get it.....well let's just say it wouldn't be wise to be near me at that time

Anyway, after a very close look at that Pikmin picture, does that Pikmin shown in the bubble at the bottom look new to anyone else? I know its a bit small and hard to see but it appears to be some type of maroon Pikmin with weird, dark, far apart, alien-like eyes.

I'm going to be really sad if Pikmin 3 goes to the new console. I have so many games to finish or to play again on the Wii that I don't think I'll be buyng the new console until 2013. They should at least give us NPC Pikmin 2 on the Wii!

Someone took a picture of their garden and a picture underwater and added a HUD, lawl.

They could be real but what throws me off is that the images are blurry. It's 2011 - why is it people who get exclusive behind the scenes images all have cameras from over a decade ago? It's actually way harder to even find a camera that takes such low quality images these days than one with a high resolution.

Edit: On closer look, there's no question that they're fake. Look at the starfish in the second screenshot, for example - a little big, don't you think?

My salt is overflowing from the bucket. Although, the technology demos what i've seen for next generation graphics looks pretty much like that.

I think the bucket of salt I took this with made it harder to swallow rather than easier.

Not buying it till I see some video.

Uhm, Starfishes CAN be THAT big, y'know.

If they are real then the fact that there's a HUD blows the controller-screen-for-HUD-info theory.
