I know it's off-topic but if you want to know, Ubisoft Quebec City (yes a new Ubisoft studio in the province of Quebec) is making a Prince of Persia on Wii. It will be exclusive. I saw the announcement on the show M.Net in Quebec. You'll see more infos soon since they are hinting a May release.

Video is in French:

I don't think that it is exclusive. I don't speak French, so I didn't bother watching the video, but I know that Ubisoft has a new Prince of Persia (Forgotten Sands) game coming out in May that is on other platforms.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

If Ubisoft makes bank on the Rabbids games, then clearly people need to keep on buying them. If Ubisoft cannot make any money on the Wii at all then they won't make any games for it -- who benefits from that exactly?

I think we all need to realise that our personal tastes aren't necessarily more valid than anyone else's.

I should've clarified sorry.
My statement was directed at the people who say they wish Ubisoft would make a traditional Rayman game. To which I said that if they wanted that, people would have to stop buying the Rabbid minigame games.
Because, since those are probably selling better than any Rayman platform game would probably sell for, there's no reason for Ubisoft to bother with a real Rayman game till the Rabbid games start selling poorly.

I personally don't care if they keep making Rabbid minigame collections and as a business it's a really smart thing to do, though I would hope that they are planning to make a sequel to Rabbids go home. I really liked that game. It sold pretty well.

Ah, that's good then. There's a lot of "people shouldn't buy game X because I don't like it and I think those guys should make game Y instead," attitude going around so I just assumed that's where you were coming from.

The shooting mini games have been generally quite good imho and they did the right thing by bringing balance board support in the 3rd game (though in the long term the whole video game itself ended up being bland for me). Maybe they'll bring in wiimotionplus support which would do a good job of convincing me.

I said quality game play, as in good or better. E.T. has game play. The Wii has a bunch of underwhelming first party titles that appeal to a large bunch of people who buy one or two games and outside of the cost implications would happily move onto the next best thing at the drop of a hat. The remainder of the Wii's lovers are the fan boys - the disillusioned few who forgive Nintendo no matter what and rate it based on a handful of first party 'core' games and ports. Hell even game developers realize what a buster the Wii is when it comes to selling proper games.

I don't know, I thought Metroid Prime Trilogy, SMG, NSMBW, Boy and His Blob, Punch-Out!!, SSBB were all pretty good games. At least as good as E.T. And the numerous Virtual Console titles, of course.
There are others that are great, too, but I didn't list because I either haven't played them, or they are remakes or multi-platform games.

Did you really join a Nintendo fan site to bash Nintendo? What disappoints you so much about this generation?
Did you want them to keep remaking the N64 and Gamecube until they went broke, or what?

@chris
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is coming out on all platforms in time for a movie release. It's not a Wii exclusive game but there will be a Wii specific version, much like Avatar.

Personally, being a little on the sadistic side the only really good Rabbids game was the original as you played as a character who could abuse the rabbids. Slapstick at its best. They got rid of most of the animated animal abuse stuff and replaced it with stupid games like rabbids racing in lawnmowers. At least Rabbids Go Home had ze Remote feature to satisfy my needs of animal torture.

Ubisoft have come out with the Rayman Raving Rabbids Triple Pack. You get Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, 2 and TV Party for £24.99 (from amazon uk). That's 175 mini games (I think) for the price of one game (or just under that price). That's worth it really eh.

Raving Rabbids 4! Yes! It's interesting what they'll have in store after taking a one year break with the different style Rabbids Go Home.

Also, for those who don't know it yet, Ubisoft is publishing a collection pack of the 3 first Raving Rabbids games next month: http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/4-/13506803/Rabbids-Party-Colle...

I wonder if your old save files would be transferred. I doubt it though eh.

Not another minigame collection! God, these were actually okay until they released TV Party.....

I'm pretty okay.

Rabbids go home has sold about 600k which is good, but ALL THREE Rabbid mini games have sold over 1.6 million.

You wonder why devs are going to stop pushing core games on the Wii. The mini-game and cheaper to make games consistently sell better everytime whether they to or not.

In fairness, the Raving Rabbids games had good multiplayer, something which Rabbids Go Home didn't.

They could have a multiplayer game where two (or maybe even three or four?) teams of rabbids try to steal as much junk as possible, using their BWAAAAAAH! attack to knock each other off?

Red Steel 2
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

If combined they have sold a little over 1.6 million units, then Rabbids Go Home is about average for each game becuase if each of them had sold 600,000 each, than that would be 1.8 million so I don't think thats bad sells!

I kinda thought they were going to make Rayman 4 this year. Oh well.

So many good games, so little money to spend.
