Unfortunately Ubisoft have announced that RR 4 will be released in 2010. They haven't said whether it'll b a mini game comp or not, but judging by the title it suggests so. Hopefully they'll decide on a Rayman platformer too.
Ubisoft have also announced another Driver game for 2010 or Q1 2011
"They say video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock n' roll."

Why is that bad news? I don't get it. Oh riiiiiight, you're one those people who hates Rabbids and blames them for the death of Rayman. Get used to it, he's dead, I for one am happy.
Have you even played Rabbids go Home? It's really quite unique you know, and lots and lots of fun!!

Dont' jump to conclusions there buddy. They released the original Rayman on DSiWare, and it's a pretty good port. Rayman's creator said he wants to make another Rayman game, hopefully he'll get his way.
I know, I know. Ubisoft makes tons, and I mean TONS of shovelware. I hope the fact that their lessening Wii support means they'll at least focus on a couple of high quality games for the platform. I know they must've been disappointed in the sales of Wii/DS fair like C.O.P, World Stage, Clash of Heroes, and Dawn of Discovery. They're still bringing Red Steel 2 and No More Heroes 2 to Wii as the core platform.
I still don't think Red Steel 2 will under perform unless it turns out laughable bad. As for the topic itself. I'm guessing RR4game will use the My Shape camera, motionplus, and balance board and will sell a bajilion copies based on those new gimmicks alone. With any luck they'll add a fairly robust single-player mode due to the continuing success of Rabbids Go Home. (Note I said continuing as I'm guessing it will reach a million EVENTUALLY).

Hopefully so, I see no reason why they can't co-exist. I only attacked Rayman, in defence of the Rabbids, I did not start this. also, I didn't do that pic, it was already out there

Don't worry Machu, most people know that the early Rayman games outclass any Rabbids title considerably. Just like the fact that practically every console in existence outclasses the Wii when it comes to quality game play.
Hmmmmmm, well I guess this is pretty good, I love the rabbids, but I do wish Ubisoft would make another Rayman platformer... Yeah, Rabbids Go Home is a very unique & fun game.

I'm not most people (thank god), so I disagree with you entirely (again).
Rayman is OK, at best. And the Wii? I've been rediscovering WSR today (as you can tell from my sexy new avatar), to suggest that the Wii is lacking in gameplay, is completely ridiculous. You're exaggerating, and you know it.

I said quality game play, as in good or better. E.T. has game play. The Wii has a bunch of underwhelming first party titles that appeal to a large bunch of people who buy one or two games and outside of the cost implications would happily move onto the next best thing at the drop of a hat. The remainder of the Wii's lovers are the fan boys - the disillusioned few who forgive Nintendo no matter what and rate it based on a handful of first party 'core' games and ports. Hell even game developers realize what a buster the Wii is when it comes to selling proper games.

Guilty as charged. Excuse me for not hating on the company I love. I am grateful to Nintendo, for sprinkling entertainment & joy throughout my life. Sure, it's not as often as I'd like, and they might have made some odd choices this generation, but I'm all about second chances, and Nintendo are getting one from me. Why does that trouble you so? :/
actually, don't answer that, we are derailing the thread. I'll see you in other thread some time yeah, you bring the hate, I'll bring the love, ha. We are like ying & yang you & me, but I still like ya

LOL, another typical, sarcy internet forum reply. I've been writing on interent forums for 8 years now and its always the same. People sometimes also have to emphasise their points with funky pictures or goofy captions. Samw ol', same ol'....
For your information my dear friend I once owned all three rayman raving rabbids games! I really enjoyed no.1 and it is still part for my collection. The second one was average except for the shooting sections and the third one was decent but by that time the humour and enjoyment had become jarred and leached out. It had run its long course for me.
Rabbids Go Home was/is brilliant, I even started a thread on it just when it came out on here regarding its ace reviews.
My family also have enjoyed all the games but got bored of RRR2 and RRRTV Party. Unless RRR 4 does something drastically different, I doubt it'll be that enjoyable for me.
I don't blam the rabbids for the "death of rayman", but ubisoft should really do another rayman platformer.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

@LEGEND MARIOID: I've been on the internet for 10 years, but avoided forums up until 6 months ago (damn you Nintendo Life!!!). Sometimes, I'm nice. Sometimes, I'm a blunt weapon of blind belligerence.
I'm learning, veeeeeeeeery slooooowly.
For the record. Loved RR1 and RR3, but RR2 was laaazy and I didn't like it. RR4 needs less gimmicky games, and more balance board goodness and shooting fun, I always enjoy them.

Fair dues mate, I can see from all the replies to this thread that you're just having a laugh!
I noticed that ONM referred to it as Raving Rabbids 4 and not Rayman Raving Rabbids 4. Does that Ubisoft's Rayman has divorced himself from the series?
Trust me mate, I hope its good, but M&S Winter Olympics and Wii Sports Resort have really raised the bar in the "party game" department.
Also, will it have the same charm as RRR1? Or will it be a cash in video game? Time will tell eh.
People need to stop buying them. Rabbids go home has sold about 600k which is good, but ALL THREE Rabbid mini games have sold over 1.6 million.
You wonder why devs are going to stop pushing core games on the Wii. The mini-game and cheaper to make games consistently sell better everytime whether they to or not.
I know it's off-topic but if you want to know, Ubisoft Quebec City (yes a new Ubisoft studio in the province of Quebec) is making a Prince of Persia on Wii. It will be exclusive. I saw the announcement on the show M.Net in Quebec. You'll see more infos soon since they are hinting a May release.
