XBLA and Steam often have sales on where one or two games will be reduced in price, but if Nintendo did a similar offer, what would you guys like to see (be realistic, mind)?
I reckon that Nintendo could do an offer where you buy two Art Style games and get another one free with a special code sent to your messageboard. If not, Tetris Party for 800 points would be a good offer, but unlikely since the game still sells reasonably well.
Interesting notion. There are certain games I'd be more willing to try if they were cheaper. Target Toss Pro Bags should be 500, Home Sweet Home should be 800, Lonpos should be 500, Family and Friends Party for 500, and so on. There are quite a few games where this would work. Oh and Critter Round-Up for 1,000? Oh please... 500.
Oh and I know it hasn't come out yet over here but Pop-Up Pirate should be like 200 Points, no joke, especially since it's practically $1 on the other handheld.
How about a discount on My Life as a Darklord if you own My Life as a King, because if it has download-able content too I'm guessing its not going to be cheap.
@KS8: Home Sweet Home seems more suited to a price of 600 points, actually. Not because it's a bad game, it's just that it's the same all the way through and 600 points is perfect. Any less and it would start to feel cheap.
I think pricing has actually evolved a little anyway since it's launch which is nice, but it would be cool to see that reflected by changing some of the older game prices. I like the idea of doing temporary sales for 1000 games going to 800, even if for a limited time. I think if they made adverts to that effect it would be a great seller. Yeah, I did sort of want that Home Sweet Home, but 800 would have made more sense. I'd be all over the Art style games if they had a 2 for 1000 sale or something. What about the Strong Bad games too. I think they could go down now that they're all out, it would encourage people to get them together, maybe 800 ea or something.
World of Goo should down to about 900 or 1000 (which I still think is too much).
WoG at 1000 points is in no way too much. The game is absolutely excellent, and saying it should be less than games such as StrongBad is a bit of an insult to the game (no offence to StrongBad himself, mind).
Totally agreed. And lets not forget this was ment to come out as a Retail for wii in Europe. It may as well be a retail game and for 1500 is a total steal in my books.
@Charlie The Unicorn: Sales would be nice, vut what you said is unlikely, especially because the numbers always end in two 0's (ie, are a multiple of one hundred).
Any type of sale at all would be nice. I can ignore the "no demos" portion of the service if we had some good sales once in a while. (Sales lead to impulse purchases..come on Nintendo you can have a go at this!)
All 600 games down to 500. Seriously, 600's are hard to deal with because you always have money left over that is too small to do anything with, since you can only buy points in 1000's, 2000's, or 3000's.
