A new Wii Pokemon game that is now officially being localized. You play as Pikachu(who else?) in this game, which seems to be a collection of minigames. According to Serebii.net, the minigames are motion control based. It looks cool, and I'll probably get it.

I'll have to wait for the reviews to see if it's good, but I'm definitely interested. I especially like the idea of controlling Pikachu directly in real-time battles.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Got it months ago, it's quite fun. Surprised it took so long for a translation to be announced.

Wait, a minigame collection? When I first saw this last year, I thought they were finally making a 3D Pokemon adventure game! Why do they have to crush my excitement? T_T

It's not a minigame collection, guys. It can "appear" to be what it wants, but the game has been out forever, and people have played it. Listen to them.

What do you mean? According to Serebii.net, it is a minigame collection (and looks to be a good one). If it's not a minigame collection, what genre do you think it fits in?

OMG!!
THIS.... LOOKS.... SO..... crappy.
Seriously Nintendo, you're seriously adding ANOTHER cruddy minigame collection/party game to your own console, which is famous for having so many crappy party games in the first place?
Fail.

I'm pretty okay.

In a nutshell, playing and finishing Pokepark is like tasting a free sample, it's good, generally, but there's not enough of it for you to enjoy. Pokepark has a huge pool of untapped potential, and if a sequel is made, more effort should be put on making more, and varied minigames, a longer story, maybe throw in one or two more Trials of Strength, and Nunchuk support. This game has got a lot of style. It only needs a whole lot more substance, and then it'll be perfect.

...Yeah, I'll pass.
