Draw distance looks fine to me; and anyone who's going to make that a serious consideration when buying a Wiiware game can suck an egg.
I think the only real dealbreaker left to be established is the nature of the control. It looks great, and as long as it handles responsively, I can see this taking off (pun...) very successfully. My feathers are crossed on this one.
Cheers CB, kind words. I think alot of the people who have moaned about the draw distance have simply been PS3/360 fanboys expecting that level of graphical detail that they've become accustomed to on the Wii's tiny spec!
after watching the footage, i have to say, the only problem i see is those ships disappearing. i know it's a very early build, though, so i'm sure that's fixed. it looks beautiful, though. i think the draw distance is more than acceptable.

Thanks chaps! I'd just like to say (even though I'll be back here before hand) because I'll forget, I want to wish you all a fantastic Christmas (even the NL staff;)) and a brilliant 2010 from all of us here at Legendo:)
When are you going to go into details about the controls? You know so we can heckle you about it. lol
If it controls like the plane games in Wii Sports Resort, I'll be happy, but some customization like turning sensitivities and what not would be a bonus.
The good thing is with me, unlike a hell of alot of developers/PR guys, I do actually play and write about games. I try to play everything I can that we develop so I can get an understanding of the games mechanics and feel.
It's amazing how many people in advertising DON'T do that, considering it's one of the first things you learn from schooling. Heck even David Ogilvy states in his books you should eat, sleep and breath the product you're assigned to sell.
Coulour me impressed! That leaked footage sure does look pretty good. Needless to say, I was expecting much less. Now we just need some official videos

chock full of graphical eyecandy and beautiful score (I've heard what we're going to be using for the theme, it's very fitting) all in a tiny 40MB package:)
As long as there aren't long load times in rapid succession (cough Three Musketeers cough), that sounds awesome.
