Jesus, I didn't know about some of these. I need Deadly Creatures (back), Umbrella Chronicles and Klonoa.

I got Wario Land on eBay last week for like £10. It's awesome.

Wait NPC Pikmin is out of print? My area has like 8 copies in just two stores Also, man I didn't realize how many games were out of print. I need to get Deadly Creatures, Battalion Wars 2, Klonoa, A Boy and His Blob, Wii Music again, Excitebots, RE: The Umbrella Chronicles, and Wario Ware Smooth Moves.

Wario Land Shake It must've been too "traditional" for the Wii. Most owners are looking for the interactive, remote-waving style rather than the old-school NES style.

Excite Truck must've been discontinued because people bought it before realizing they'd be better off getting the wheel first.

What? You don't need the wheel for Excite Truck or Excitebots. Excite Truck doesn't even have a wheel control option, and Excitebots works better with the Excite Truck style controls than the wheel controls anyway.

Its kinda bitter sweet, its sad that there not making them anymore but im happy that I can pick them up cheap. I remember I got Klonoa day 1 at the first gamestop I went too it was hard to find, because the first day it was released I had to skin through the big shelf wii games placed horizontally to find it.

What's the source for this information? I have a huge list of games I need to buy, and four of them are on this list. I want to know whether or not I should bump them to the top of the list. Also someone said A Boy and His Blob, is that true?

Sorry to bump an old thread, we never really got a conclusive answer on this though, just speculation (or so it seems).

Nintendo of America released some press statements with out of print games a while back. I think it was a direct reaction to customer questions? Not sure what the source is on others, but they seem pretty believable since most either didn't sell that well or are older games anyway.

The trick is that "out of print" usually doesn't mean rare or difficult to find... Most of those games can be still found in stores if you look around, or online otherwise. Just don't wait forever because new stock isn't coming.

If no-one's buying them they're not going to keep making them! It doesn't matter how good it is, if they're not making a profit from something they're not going to keep making it!

Yea. So there not going to keep paying money to make the product when no one else is buying it. They would waste money.

That wouldn't explain why they would discontinue BBA: WD or WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Those two games sold quite well, actually

Screw you.

I'm pretty sure Geometry Wars is as well and I've noticed both this and Excite Truck are almost impossible to find even used in GAME stores in Glasgow (I did manage to re-buy Excite Truck recently; had to do the same with Geometry Wars, but that was some time ago). Also managed to get a second-hand copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Best of all both this and Excite Truck had their club codes intact (I originally bought Excite Truck used and that copy lacked it).

Yes, but they probably aren't selling well any more. The sales were probably initially high and now have slowed down. It happens.

You know, I'd assumed that most of these games were discontinued ages ago! I certainly haven't seen some of them in the shops for months. I don't know what it's like in America, but here in the UK you're lucky if you can find a game a few months after its release (apart from the REALLY big sellers like Mario Kart or Wii Sports Resort) and some of those games are years old!

It's sad that Nintendo stopped making Metroid Prime Trilogy. They stopped producing it less than a year after its release! Also, Klonoa's poor sales probably mean that there won't be a remake of Klonoa 2! I blame the name.

I'm back (for the moment)!

Resident Evil Archives (1) is also out-of-print.

With kind regards,

Shame they got rid of Prime Trilogy and Radiant Dawn. Thankfully, I got Shake It just after they discontinued that. I still need to get the former two games as well as Smooth Moves.

I'm gone. Good f*cking bye.

I believe it was considered a limited edition, and probably expensive to make (what with the metal case and all)

I could still grab a copy of it at my local Target or Walmart. They have it in stock nearby me.

Is Pokemon battle revolution out of print in Europe? It seems really expensive for a game of its age and reputation!

Sometimes when games are good sellers they take them out of production sell off the old stock and than come out with a "Greatest Hits" edition or whatever Nintendo calls it.

I remember back in the day my friend had Tekken 2 on the Playstation I really liked that game and tried to find a copy of it. I went everywhere Gamestop, Toys R Us, Target, Kmart, Walmart and had no luck. Finally the guy at Gamestop told me that the game was out of production and if I am lucky I might be able to find a used copy. Well six months later I was checking out the video game department at my local Target and there it was in the new Greatest Hits packaging.

As for Metroid Prime Trilogy yeah I remember reading on Nintendo's site that it has/had a limited production time. If your lucky some stores may still have it but if not you might have to check out a used game store or online.

One I thought was out of print for some time was Super Princess Peach. Then months back I found it at Toys R Us, and snagged me a copy since I wasn't sure if it was like a limited thing. They still have copies, yet I haven't seen it ANYWHERE else in years.
