It's what we in the UK call a 'space-hopper', isn't it, with a pocket for a wiimote? Kids will go crazy for it, I'm sure. Maybe not grandma this time though.
This could actually be fun. How about a two-player jousting game, where you and opponent go bouncing at each other all over the lounge and use wiimote as a lance? Nintendo need to give me a job.
Still this seems goofy, but just imagine a game featuring a "whoopee cushion" effect from the wiimote speaker whilst using this thing? Shame that it's just a holder; I think they should have some kind of electronics in it so that the wiimote jacks into it like the plastic guitars for Guitar Hero.
I would not be confortable using such a rediculous periferal. It looks silly enough waving around the Wii Remote but this is just over the top. Hopefully we never see this come to fruition.
Future Wii purchases: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Metroid: Other M Zelda Wii New Super Mario Bros. Wii Sin and Punishment 2
I'm not gonna use the S word that's being used around the web to describe that thing. I can see where they were going with it though but please, do we really need more peripherals? I can't keep track of the ones I've got, lost one of my motion+ already, ha! it's around here somewhere grrr
While it could be useful for certain games (imagine Mario Kart ), there are too many peripherals out there for the Wii, methinks. While some aren't necessary like the Zapper, the games supporting this would seem to alienate people who don't want to buy it. Unless it's just a convenient extra though, that would be fine.
