I'm sure this is just a brain freeze, but I can use some help. We got an LCD HDTV for Christmas, replacing a 15-year-old TV. I hooked up the Wii using the regular cables (not the components), and I'm getting a black-and-white, slightly fuzzy picture. I do intend to get the component cables, but can anyone get me up and running without them tonight?
Make sure you're plugging your AV cables into a COMPOSITE slot on the TV and not the COMPONENT slot. The composite input should have a YELLOW input for Video, a RED and WHITE input for Audio. The Component slot has RED - GREEN - BLUE slots for video and then the RED - WHITE slots for audio. You can only use this with a component cable.

Lol, isn't it funny how the most frustrating things usually have the simplest solutions. Kudos to Corbs. Have fun, Burning Spear.
