Topic: New Sonic 4 Video W/ super sonic!

Couldn't find the old thread so I made A new one for another leaked sonic 4 video.

I wonder if Super Sonic will work a la the original core series where he could be activated anytime rather than as a deus ex machina only used for final bosses as in recent games.

Super Sonic looks pretty cool, and you seem to be losing your rings much slower than in the other Sonic games.

1) The music is so old school! _{/nostalgia seizure}
2) It looks a lot like Metropolis Zone! But still a little different! Yay! _{/nostalgia seizure}
3) It looks like a giant level ripe for exploring, with level design much closer to the original sonic games (trickiness and exploring) rather than the DS games (hold right on the d-pad and press A until you run into a bottomless pit 2/3 of the way through the level). _{/nostalgia seizure}
4) I'm hoping they'll come up with some fun special stages for emeralds, if there's Super Sonic, there must be emerald collecting! _{/preemptive nostalgia seizure}

Honestly, I can't see how someone who's not an old school Sonic fan isn't at least cautiously optimistic about this trailer. I'll still be waiting for the reviews to drop, cuz of the burnage by Sonic, so much burnage, but I am psyched!

I have hopes for this game because the developers behind the DS Sonics are on it. Those are two games that really returned to the spirit of what Sonic should be, so if this game has the same solid mechanics and sense of exploration and speed, it'll be stellar.

The old-school fan in me still wishes they would refer to him as Robotnik these days, though...

I'm glad they included the homing attack in this one. It's my favorite of Sonic's techniques.

To All Sonic Fans: I know the following paragraph is kinda off-topic to the leaked footage, but I found it relevant enough to include it in this thread

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this game. While I like the fact that Sega is deciding to NOT make another bad 3D Sonic game, I'm not really into 2D Sonic games either. I'm not sure why, but I feel like I haven't really accomplished anything when I finish a level. I feel like I worked through the game and it never really paid off.
